They also have free wifi, board games, and a few flat screen TVs.”

  1. Really cool indoor market that reminds me of Reading Terminal Market in Philly. You come in and it's a food hall with a bunch of eateries inside with seating all around. We went for the burger station and I have to say it was quite tasty – I prefer it to Shake Shack, actually {less grease}! It's good for the area, but it can be quite pricey at $10 for a double burger.

  2. Gotham West Market is only a few blocks from Javits Center and is open for lunch and dinner. It has a fun, industrial feel to it and offers over a dozen food options from burgers (Genuine Roadside) to ramen. There are plenty of long tables and individual seating sprnikled throughout. They also have an event space and very fun bathrooms on the bottom floor. One thing they have that Vandrbilt doesn't are vintage postcards for guests to send (for free!) to family and friends! Good move, Gotham West Market.

  3. Close to the office and a solid staple. Always a little pricier than you expect, but definitely haven't had a bad meal at any of the restaurants within. The lines are long and busy during peak lunch hour so plan accordingly.

  4. If you are stranded in Hell's Kitchen and strapped for time definitely stop by because GWM is a conglomerate of amazing foods.

It's an upscale food court- go to Ivan ramen, blue bottle, ample hills, choza, and Calmado.

  5. Cool concept but work on the food options!

I was disappointed to check Yelp before my food purchase to find out that none of the spots were rated too highly. However, I was already there and the places LOOKED promising. Had a burrito from the taqueria and could pass. However, this is a review for the joint. Good idea, cute decor, clean/hip looking food joints, but improve the quality of the joints located in your facility.

For you Californians, this market reminds me of Anaheim packing district and 3rd Street Grand Market in LA. A larger building housing a selection of food spots in a fancier cafeteria-style like manner.

  6. Whoever decided fancy food courts should be a thing is my new best friend. Size-wise, it's a good medium between City Kitchen and Hudson Eats at Brookfield Place. They have a cozy decor and while there is a good amount of seating, I can see it getting very crowded as this place becomes more popular. As nice as it is, the lighting isn't the best so keep that in mind for the gram

My boyfriend stopped by on a rainy Friday evening, so there weren't too many people there. Here's what we got…
    – Choza: from here, we got three tacos – chorizo, carnitas and steak barbacoa. They were alright. The flavors were there, but if the meat had just been a little more tender and juicy then it would've been perfect
    – Ivan Slurp Shop: in an effort to save room in our stomachs, we got the spicy pork belly Baos and a yuzu lemonade. The pork belly wasn't that spicy, but they were good! They looked a little sad when I first got them and the lighting was terrible, but these are a solid snack. As for the yuzu lemonade, it definitely more lemonade than yuzu.
    – Genuine Roadside: I love Genuine Superette, so I was excited to have a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. Definitely one of the best options here! They're also separated and have they're own mini restaurant, complete with games and booths.
    – Ample Hills: gooey butter cake ice cream. enough said.

  7. A little bit out of the way but there's plenty of seating and dining options so everyone in your group can get something they like – they also have board games for borrowing too! I especially love the ice cream here, you can't go wrong.

  8. Great spot to check out with many food choices.

Cool spot to kind of people watch and hang out.

The main reason form my 5 star rating is the AMZING burger I had at Genuine Roadside in Gotham West Market.

Just please do your self a favor and go get one.

    End of story 🙂
