  1. This is an okay place for a vegetarian / vegan to eat with carnivores. We started with guacamole & chips, very fresh and delicious. My friend enjoyed his baby back ribs & fries, no complaints. My grilled balsamic veggie wrap (see my pic) was fresh, delicious and filling. It was packed with nicely seasoned broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, onions and red peppers. My side of corn on the cob was nothing special, just boiled from frozen and served unseasoned. The service too was nothing special. At around 5:00 on a weekday with hardly any customers the place was noisy. The staff mostly chatted among themselves and the food took long to come out of the kitchen. Nobody offered a water refill. And I had asked for no peppers in my wrap and got a lot of peppers anyway. Accordingly, my tip was nothing special, especially since IMO the food is pricey. LOL, I got the impression that the most important aspect of the waitresses' job is how they look in black spandex leggings, a tight black tank top and a tiny black apron.

  2. Was looking for a place with healthy eating options for my dad. I checked yelp for suggestions and this restaurant came highly recommended. The staff is very personable, the interior very clean, and the food was good and reasonably priced. Was surprised at the large portions. Got my dad the chicken kebab appetizer with vegetables and it looked like an entree size. I would recommend this spot for sure.

  3. I really like this place. The only thing that sucks about it is that it's only open till 9 and not open Sunday's. Otherwise it's great food and good service. Must try the Buffalo bites and quesadilla! Other than that the salads are delicious. I make my own salad with spinach, avocado, goat cheese, walnuts, and craisins. Highly recommended!

  4. I ordered from the catering menu and I must say as expensive as it is, the shrimp and chicken paella was amazingly delicious and I've never had any as yummy as this one was. The only thing I disliked that I didn't realize was I ordered a half a tray of salad and they gave me a full tray. I believe I was charged for a large tray but it's ok, my party was great and everyone loved the food. The person I spoke to on the phone though was extremely nice and gave bread and extra plates and utensils and I thought that was extremely nice.

  5. I'd rate Gourmet Grill three and a half stars.

The service is really quick. We were seated immediately, and our orders were taken promptly. The appetizer came out after a few minutes, and our dinners came out minutes after we finished the appetizer. The service was attentive; our glasses were always filled.

The menu is pretty vast. It's quite diner-like with an exhausting list of entrees and sandwiches. There is something for everyone!

We started with the fried mac n cheese bites that were on special. They weren't anything special. I would have opted for a different app in hindsight. For dinner, I had the rigatoni alla vodka with chicken. The ingredients were disbanded and didn't seem like they had the chance to marry.

I found the service here to be outstanding, yet the food was lackluster.

  6. I always order the southwestern on a whole wheat wrap. The portion is great and very fulling and the steak is always perfectly cooked. Also, the staff members are very nice and welcoming.

  7. Not bad for a casual family eatery on the edge of Mill Basin. It was moderately busy when I got here for dinner this evening, I was with a party of three others. The waitstaff was attentive but not smothering, the air conditioning was almost negligible but there were ceiling fans everywhere so I was fine (though not everyone was), the sangria was good, but I'm glad I ordered a small instead of a large. I got the broiled salmon steak, which was good, probably the best entree in our party, relative to a veggie burger (described as a smushed vegetable patty), broiled filet of sole (which seemed fried) and grilled chicken (which wasn't really grilled). The spinach that came with mine seemed like they took a whole pack of frozen spinach and microwaved it, then mixed it with some sauteed garlic, but I love spinach and I'll eat it sheep-style if necessary. The fries and cole slaw with the veggie burger were better than the burger itself. I've been here once before, about two years ago, and it will probably be about the same amount of time before I return. It's not bad, but if I'm not cooking, I'm usually going to prefer the best pizza ever which is just down the street from me anyway.

  8. This place is great for the healthy eater. Not many places can perfect the wrap.
They have many times of healthy options.
Very clean and food is always packaged to perfection.
It seems like a family owned business as workers sometimes seem more like "after schoolers"
    Everything is fresh and flavorful.
Good for the whole family to come. Something for every palette
