I'm not sure how new Grand Central Star Cafe's unlimited salad bar lunch is, but it's a good deal. Tons of veggies, two sizes of salad to choose from, lots of meats. Service is quick and friendly.
Stopped in here. Asked for fries. Looked for the price (nowhere to be seen). Asked the smiling man behind the counter who pointed to the cashier at the front.
Went to the front to pay…wait for it… $4.25!!!!
FOR FRIES?! $4.25…NOTHING ELSE…JUST FRIES?!?!??!?!?!? $4.25
Hell to the No!!!!!!
Anyone want them? I left them on the counter.
Fresh off of the bus from Virginia I stopped at the Metlife building to see my brother, I told him I was starving and he suggested this place which was about 1 block away. I came in and ordered a cheese omelet w/bacon and hash browns. I paid my food and sat down and waited for it to be done. When it was finished I picked it up and dined in. The prices for breakfast were very inexpensive but when I looked at the drink menu I saw a can of soda was $1.25.. Sheeesh. I'll pass. The eggs and bacon was very good but I wasn't too fond of the hash browns. They tasted like some frozen patties that were heated up real quick. I'd come back again but would pass on the hash browns.
Got a free lunch today! I picked the chicken burrito – it's awesome! They literally make everything. I think I saw two types of fish, beef and broccoli as the hot entree for the day, a pasta bar, and burrito station. The salad bar in the back was in full effect too. It's a fuller salad than you'll get at some of the nearby delis. Don't delay – check out GCSC.
