Okay, I knew better. I never ever ever order Brooklyn Chinese. Ever. There's something about the quality of the food that is considerably worse than Manhattan Chinese. Buut, there aren't many options to order out, so I ordered Broccoli with garlic sauce and Pad thai….yeah.
The broccoli was almost inedible, it was about 20 minutes from going bad and the "garlic sauce" was really sweet. It wasn't good. I was hungry, so I ate it. The pad thai was huge and so packed in it was hard to take apart. It was meh. Lesson learned. I really miss Wok N Roll further up Flatbush!
Basic Chinese. If you have no taste buds on your tongue, than you'll like this place.
My expectations for standard Chinese delivery are reasonably low, and still Green Lake was not very good. It wasn't exactly bad, but even the most average places I've tried in other neighborhoods are better than this. Chicken had no flavor, egg rolls were a bland meatless concoction of cabbage, dumplings were overly doughy and dry. I really hope there are better Chinese delivery options in my new hood.
This is some of the best Chinese food I have found in Brooklyn. The food doesnt taste like it just drowned in oil and sauces! Its really good. I love the lunch specials $5.75 for lunch and a drink before 4pm. I can also substitute items for other items and they dont make a big fuss! Nice guys also, respectful.
Not a fan. Greasy, mystery meat, delivered to your door – not for me.
