  1. First of all, the service/ambience is outstanding.  Pleasant greeting and goodbye, friendly, efficient, and very funny waiter, and bussers who were continually refilling our drinks and removing dirty plates as warranted.

I had an excellent Cobb's Salad.  It was kind of pricey at $16.  The Cobb on the menu is about $12 but it doesn't include the normal turkey and/or ham and/or chicken that makes a Cobb a Cobb.  The additional $4 is to add that protein to the dish.  I opted to add gyro instead.  It is a large portion and was excellent.  My wife added chicken to hers.  It was juicy and immense.

Everything on the salad was fresh including the bacon.  The point about the bacon is important because a lot of places use bacon that may have been sitting on the grill all day.  This bacon was freshly cooked.

Our friends, who are from the area and come here often, had some kind of chicken souvlaki platter and said it was fine.

The Cobb was served on a platter but it might have been easier to eat if served in a bowl.  That plate was really crowded.

  2. I find it difficult to review diners because there's only so many ways you can describe your experience with an omelet.

I had the Farmers Omelet with Zucchini, tomatoes, and cheese. It was average sized. I had a side of home fried and buttered toast.

There's a big parking lot in the back .

  3. I give this place some credit, I went here because my friends and I needed to get dinner before a movie and Poco Loco and La Bottega were full.

However, the service was lacking. The waitress we had was pretty dismissive. She came to bring food and drinks, and then vanished completely.

Food is alright, its hardly Kane's, but it hit the spot for my pancake craving.

  4. The food was decent.  However they lose 3 stars for the service.
The waitress seemed pissed off about being there.  She literally dropped our plates on the table in front of us.  She got annoyed when we asked her questions.  And never came over once during the meal to see how everything was.  It wasn't very busy, so she can't use that as an excuse.   My mother had to track her down just to get some extra napkins.

Upon paying the bill my mother very nicely made a suggestion that they should have Splenda on the tables because more people like to use it these days (they only had Sweet and Low and the waitress seemed really bothered that we asked for anything else)
well the guy a the register pulled this
"I have Sweet and Low, I have Equal, I'm not putting another damned thing out on the table"

And for the record when you say my french toast comes with "cherry preserves"  I think preserves, not shitty canned cherry pie filling.
