  1. Oh Gregory's coffee… How I love you. This place is everything a coffee shop shop be and more. They serve up some of the best coffee in NYC, hands down. Their aeropressed single origin coffee is by far one of the best cups of coffee in the city.

While this place does get busy, they do a great job of pumping out coffees in a orderly and timely fashion.

  2. Not a bad place. I stayed next door for the last few days and I found myself back at this coffee shop quite a bit. I can't eat wheat so I really enjoyed the GF Rice chex square. It was very good. I swear I ate like four of them over the weekend.  I also ordered the Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and I was quite whelmed with the cream. It seems to be house-made but it was very good.

The only weird thing is that I asked about their chai beverage but the guy behind the counter couldn't really tell me whether it was sweet or spicy.

  3. Just to caveat, I am NOT a coffee drinker so I can't comment on the coffee from Gregory's Coffee (…which is a bit weird since it's a coffee shop after all!). However, I have tried the Glazed Donut and the Whole Wheat Donut, both of which I enjoyed.

The Glazed Donut is denser than most yeast donuts I've had. Not quite as dense as an old-fashioned. There is a generous pour of glaze on top. The Whole Wheat Donut is not as soft and it's square-shaped.

My gluten-free friend also loves their Rice Chex. It's made with rice chex cereal, marshmallow, and butter – as simple and delicious as it gets! It's also great that they have a gluten-free option too 🙂

  4. While in NYC I stayed right down the street from this coffee shop. I also frequented blue bottle, which in my opinion has far superior coffee and isn't that far of a walk. The zucchini carrot raisin bread is delicious though. The ambiance is also quite nice, spacious and modern looking. The vibe is much more relaxed than blue bottle and you can stay for awhile.

  5. We just needed coffee and soy latte since we stayed up late last night and ate & drank a lot. He still likes Starbucks dark roast coffee though this brand tastes good enough. Sadly I must abstain from caffein so I ordered decaf soy latte. They don't have decaf drip coffee on weekends instead they use decaf espresso. They offered me Americano decaf espresso soy latte. Taste? Maybe fine for me.  Believe it or not, they advertise their delicious pastries baked by their chefs every morning. Compare with Starbucks pastries, they're much bigger and voluminous!!  Too huge to have as snack for us. Over all, pretty good coffee, yummy sweets, good internet, and comfortable seats. Why I vote only 3 stars is … I'm not sure, just not very impressive for us. Maybe we'll try at a different branch.

  6. This is the first Gregory's and the beginning of a coffee journey. They've got a really cool vibe – perfect for the financiers working in the neighborhood. The drinks, especially the iced latte, is amazing and my favorite. I think they have the PERFECT milk to espresso ratio – some places give too much milk (for example Bluestone). I think they've hit the sweet spot for me.

The other thing to mention is their S'mores cookie. It's so fluffy and soft. Not sure if it tastes like smores or chocolate.

Best combination on a much sugar needed afternoon = medium iced latte + smores cookie.

If you go there regularly enough, download the Gregory's app – you get $5 credit for every $50 you spend. And trust me it's not that hard to spend $50 there.

  7. Gregory's!!! Love this place.
Highly recommend their dirty chai and morning boost shake. Their pastries are
Hit or miss – stick with the cookies and brownies, avoid everything else.

  8. I like the interior. Plenty of small tables to seat yourself. Unless it's packed…which it did get. And I'm not sure who's playlist they were playing but I looooved it. You can never go wrong with Motown.

I ordered my usual Americano (black/no room) and a chocolate chip cookie. Call me a fatty but the cookie was a little on the small side.lol. And more on the crunchy side than soft which I didn't mind. Nothing overly special.

The Americano was piping hot. Which I LOVE. I can't stand luke warm coffee being served to you. The Americano was smooth and good. I'll go for another visit sometime soon.

And you gotta love the logo!
