  1. Inwood is lucky to have G's Coffee Shop. It took me almost 4 years of living here to find out about this place. Don't make my mistake in waiting that long.

This oddly-named Mexican/diner/bodega/deli is far more than just a cup of coffee. From thick milk shakes to the best tacos and tortas north of SoHo, this neighborhood joint is the real deal. It's great for saddling up to the bar on one of the few stools or taking your order to go.

Breakfast is good, but your best bet is grabbing a few authentically Mexican tacos for lunch. Whatever your taste is, you'll love the ingredients. Everything on the menu is perfectly made to order by the friendly guys behind the counter.

When in Inwood, don't miss G's.

  2. There isn't much to say about G's other than YOU NEED TO GO. Cheap breakfast food, an amazing fresh menu of Mexican dishes (along with the best chicken tacos, loaded with cilantro and avocado), and SO. MUCH. CANDY. It epitomizes that perfect "hole in the wall" kind of place that you want to tell all of your friends about; conversely, you still want to keep that secret all to yourself.

    Inwood is BLESSED by G's.

  3. This place is close to our son's apt and it always smells great when we walk by.  Finally we decided to give it a try and I'm glad we did. We tried the chicken and pork empanadas. They were very good with the right amount of filling, seasoning and crust.
We will eat here again and definitely try the tortas and tacos which looked delicious!
I can't wait to go back!

  4. Great family owned, neighborhood coffee shop for breakfast and lunch. I've gotten food here many times over the years, dine in, and to go. Pretty much everything is made fresh right in front of you. They make a Mexican breakfast burrito that is awesome.
