“If the ban chan was tasty, fresh and generous in portions, I can't change a word for our Jjigae and Dduck gook.”

“They also end the meal with a cup of pumpkin slush which is a nice touch especially on a hot summer day.”

“We ordered the thick pork belly, bulgogi, kalbi, seafood pancake, steamed egg, and cucumber sojo.”

  1. Never went to another Korean place since discovering this one!

There's plenty of banchan (appetizers) and tons of good dish options. One of my favorite banchan is their mini kimchi pancake, which other places I've been to don't offer.Their combos are amazing as well. I typically go for the LA galbi with the soybean paste soup. So delicious!!

They're usually packed for dinner, but the line is rather quick.

Highly recommended. My mouth is watering just thinking about their food.

  2. I've been to a few Korean BBQ joints, but this one takes the cake! We were a party of 4 and left a party of FULL — see what I did there? 😀

We arrived at an off time, so we had the restaurant to ourselves. The service is a little over eager, but the staff is friendly and will show you exactly how to eat your grilled meat….which proved to be quite helpful because their instructions really elevated how everything tasted.I would not have known otherwise as a non-seasoned KBBQer.

Let's start with the mysterious salad in straight up mayo dressing….PASS. Plenty of ban chan for the table. We ordered seafood jap chae, bulgogi bibimbop, spicy octopus bibimbop, thick pork belly and marinated short ribs for the grill. We really could not have selected a better spread for 4 people. The seafood jap chae actually came out warm to our surprise, but it was the STAR dish of the evening… SO ADDICTING! The bibimbops were excellent. Hubby and I shared the spicy octopus which really packs a punch that lingers in your mouth long afterward. Pork belly was thick and decadent, while the marinated spare ribs gave you the classic Korean BBQ feels.

Bill was extremely reasonable for 4 people… at $30 a person, we were beyond satisfied and will definitely come back soon!!! A+

  3. 3.75 stars.

A 20-minute walk for the last stop on the 7 train, this places feels like the end of the world. Getting here can be a challenge, so in my mind it needs to be very good to be interested in coming back.

I got here with my partner in a Saturday afternoon at 3pm, the place had plenty of seats. A very informal setting, more like a diner, with bright lights and fast & furious service. I loved the Korean posters and signs… They even keep a tv on with Korean programs running.

Since they bring all sorts of small dishes with your entrees, we didn't order any appetizer.

Hot stone rice bowl with stir fried octopus: the octopus was left pretty tough, but the dish was solid. I don't think I'd order it again because I like octopus more when it's tender. However, if you want it chewy this could be your dish.

Braised spicy pork ribs: very good. The meat was coming off the bone and the gravy of the stew was delicious. I wish I had had some bread to dip in it!

Portions are beyond generous, so even though prices seem high, you do get a lot of bangs for your bucks.

I would go back to have some BBQ next time, as they seem to bring very sizable portions.

  4. Greatly enjoyed dinner at this Flushing Korean restaurant that packs out really fast on a Saturday night for a reason.  Dinner started off wrong with a salad with simple mayonnaise as the dressing, gross.  Then things took a turn for the better once the munchies arrived: very spicy kimchi, pickled veggies, fried fish, tofu and even a bizarre but delicious mix of roasted peanuts and fried, dried little fish.  Ordered the galbi bibimbap served in a quite large dolsot filled to the top.  The galbi was tender and well marinated.  They served it with a hearty beef and vegetable soup on the side.  Equally good was the galbi hahmji bapsang with deliciously marinated galbi and a nice seafood stew on the side.  Service is top notch, friendly and attentive as well.  However, the quality, quantity of the food and great service does come at a higher price tag than typical Korean spots in the area.  Highly recommended.

  5. After spending a week in Mexico, we were craving Korean food. We found this place off of yelp, and it was open late (it's actually open 24 hours). Perfect! They brought a plethora of side dishes, and they were all good. We were so hungry that we devoured almost all of it, and they gave us seconds of the ones we requested more of. My husband and it both ordered haejang gook (hangover soup). I don't have anything to compare it to as it was my first time having it. My husband said it was very good, if that counts for something. The device was good and quick. Defintiely our new go to spot!

  6. I'm in love with this place. I came with my family and we ordered so many things. Like every other Korean restaurant, there were side dishes. But this place had like 10. All different, and they were all yummy.

    For BBQ, we ordered:
    Dol Samgyupsal (pork)
    Daepae Samgyupsal (pork)
    Bulgogi (beef)
    Hyomit Gui (beef tongue)
    Galbi Gui (beef)
    Sang Galbi Gui (beef)

We cleared it all. Every meat had their own sauce, their own way of eating it, and they were all SOO juicy and flavorful. You practically don't even need the sauce for that quality of meat.

We also ordered the Kimchi/seafood pancake. There's a bit more batter than I hoped, but it was still yummy. It wasn't covered in oil. Their japche was nothing special. I could have done without it. Their Hanbang Samgye Tang (chicken soup) was also ok. It didn't have enough flavor, but the meat was really soft. It's pretty refreshing.

The staff was super nice and smiley. Some of the waitresses spoke Korean, English, AND Chinese. Super talented. Definitely made my parents like this place even more. They help you cook your meat, refill your water frequently, and take away empty dishes so you have more space on the table. I will definitely be back!

  7. Ordered pork belly, bulgogi, japchae, and a tofu stew for 4 people…. The amount of side dishes they gave us plus the food we ordered ensured that the four of us were all in a food coma for the next few hours. The bulgogi was marinated so perfectly – all of the food including the side dishes were all perfectly seasoned. The bill ended up being around $90 which wasn't bad considering the amount of food we ordered. I will definitely be back again! The food was so good we didn't even have enough time to take pictures……

  8. Nothing special about this place, the food is great and so is the service, but the menu is the same in any authentic Korean restaurant.  Everyone on Yelp mentioned the pork belly, I wouldn't.  The Galbi and Beef Tongue was the best items on the menu.  They cook the food for you or there are items you can order from that come prepared already.  Their selection of dishes is much larger than other places on Long Island.  Valet parking is available, so don't work about trying to find parking.
