Friendly service but lousy price for just halal food. 7 bucks for a combo? It's kinda ridiculous. Every other spot in Queens is $5 or cheaper for rice with lamb or chicken and $6 for rice with lamb and chicken combo w/ soda. I like the location but damn. They keep jackin up their prices and they're not even open 24 hours like Sammy's or other Halal carts. As for the food quality, the chicken is dry and they're a little stingy with the white and hot sauce.
Verdict – Forget about it. They have felafel now but it's no biggie. Their prices aren't appealing and I really hate eating dry chicken. The only plus here is that their portion is good. Other than that, I wouldn't bother coming back for a 7 dollar halal combo.
The halal here is a little pricier than most halal spots in Queens, like most Yelpers have mentioned. However, the taste of the meat is great and everything seems fresh. Of course, Chinese food is a cheaper option at $6 for a lunchbox, but you really get more meat from ordering halal, despite the extra dollar. Plus, if you're lucky and get the guy who completely stuffs the takeout box with rice and meat, you'll definitely get a bang for your buck!
