Oh geez. This is the best bagel spot in Long Island! Having these bagels from this location makes me regret even buying bagel breakfasts in the city from numerous breakfast carts. All the bagels come out fresh and ready made for the customer. They even let you know if the fresh bagels will come out. Highly recommend. The price is well-worth it considering. I have actually recently come to this location a lot more now since it has fantastic taste and quality to it. Someone's gotta bring these to the city! It just get packed early in the morning since everyone is out to get their breakfast fix here but trust me it is well worth the wait and time!
I know that every New Yorker thinks they know the best place to get bagels, but unfortunately you are all wrong. Hand Rolled Bagels in New Hyde Park makes THE BEST BAGELS ON EARTH!! I swear this is not hyperbole. I drive 26.5 miles once a week to get their bagels even though there are 5 excellent bagel shops in my town.
The bagels are oversized and have a beautiful crusty exterior and a moist, tender, flavorful interior. Sometimes when they hand me the bag it is hard to hold because the bagels just came out of the oven!! I often eat 1-2 bagels on the drive home. You don't even need butter or cream cheese.
The staff is always friendly and attentive; just be prepared to wait on a very long line (that goes well outside the door) on weekends and some mornings.
If God made bagels, this is what they would taste like.
Wow, my everything bagel with scallion cream cheese was absolutely delicious! I'm a city girl and was here in LI for an errand, and stumbled upon this joint on Yelp – thank you, fellow Yelpers! This is definitely on par with NYC bagels, if not better.
I waited around 7-10 mins for my order – friendly staff (who were all youngins btw, which is quite characteristic of a family run business). I also got a French vanilla iced coffee and was so happy to see that they used coffee ice cubes!!! I wish more establishments did that.
Super satisfied with this joint, and will definitely keep it in mind the next time I come here and am craving a bagel!
The absolute best bagel place I've been to on Long Island.
Not just is the quality of the bagels amazing, but they always have a large variety to choose from. Come anytime in the morning and they're practically always HOT and FRESH.
There is always a line out the door when I arrive.
They do have an awesome "text your order" in option. Definitely have taken advantage of that once before and it definitely makes a huge difference.
However, this is one line I don't mind standing on.
They definitely have a huge following, and rightfully so.
Definitely a hidden gem, considering how small the store is.
Hands Down the Best Bagels – that should be their name. The bagels are literally the most fresh soft tasting bagels one could possibly endure. It feels like the bagels melt in your mouth as soon as you bite. Magical. Oh and super quick – accurate service. Yes I recommend.
I never been to the store but had the bagels at events. The bagels have a great chewy texture and a nice crunchy outside. They are good as is but I bet even better toasted with nice melted butter. Think I might need to stuff a few in my bag at the next event or head to the store to buy some!
Bagels are delicious!!! Well worth the super long lines. I ordered a Bacon, Egg and Cheese and it was made to perfection.
This place is a little tight, with only about 3 tables its more of a take out spot. But with bagels this delicious…who cares????
Definitely one of the best bagels that i have the pleasure of trying. The bagels are pippin hot and very fresh its definitely best to come in the morning. There was quite a long line when i visited however the staff is attentive and quick with their service!
