  1. I guess you have try things at least once, so that you can experience different cultures.

If you're someone who enjoy sitting in cafes, indulge in fine teas, great ambiance and lengthy conversation. This might be your place.

They have great selection of teas from around the world. They also have good scones and baked goods.

I highly recommend to go here in the AM, or late afternoon. If you're trying to go here between 1-3, it's usually super packed. There's only limited amount of seats in the dine-in area and it's first come first serve basis. No reservations!

  2. My oh my, the dizzying array of teas to choose from! I am a huge fan of oolong teas, so I decided to get a pot of the Phoenix Dan Dong – a light brown tea with notes of roasted white peaches. I know some people dislike the earthy, bitter tones prominent amongst oolong teas, but I believe this variety's lightness would be a good "intro tea" for those wishing to cultivate a palate for oolong.

Definitely would recommend ordering their Vanilla Scones with the Devonshire Cream and Strawberry Jam. The scone on its own is warm and melts in your mouth within seconds. But when you smear a little of the cream and jam onto a piece of that scone, you're tasting heaven in your mouth.

The staff are super friendly and willing to go above and beyond to help guide customers in the right direction upon leaving their shop! Definitely do not hesitate to ask any employee a question about the teas, whether to use Uber vs. walking, the complexities of names, etc. I look forward to coming back the next time I come to NYC.

  3. The Yelp check-in here is a great deal!!

I stopped by on a whim, and ended up standing around for about 20 minutes talking to the staff, smelling and trying tea at their little tasting bar. What a great, friendly place. It wasn't super busy, and the staff had no problem with me hanging out while I waited for a friend to get off of work.

The cafe in the back looks very adorable.

  4. Came here exactly when they opened. Friend and I shared a small pot of tea we had the Phoenix Dan Cong, for an oolong tea it was so good, not as earthy as regular oolong and lighter in color. I definitely enjoy it and a small pot truly is just two cups of tea so plan accordingly.

We also each order the vanilla scones, that came with a cream spread and a strawberry jam. The scones were so good! Freshly baked and still soft and warm. They had a nice sugar crisp on top.

Service was very good. Everyone was super nice and friendly from offering us a wifi password to showing us how to get around. Also a yelp check in gets you a free sample of tea loose leaves! I got a sample of the white peach, can't wait to try it.

  5. Really cute tea shop. Came here with my sister and had a pot of tea with some scones and cream.

Easily spent 2 hours here just talking and catching up (so a good spot to catch up with friend or for a date). The green teas are all fantastic, and you can ask your waiter about all the teas; they're quite knowledge.

Buying a pack of tea leaves or sitting here for a spot of tea is quite expensive, so heads up.

  6. Tea lover's Heaven, huge library of tea selections and they do tastings!

Can choose to taste one of their teas on their walls or the tea selections of the day.

Lots of tea to choose from.  If you have trouble deciding, the staff are wonderful in trying to narrow down your choices and cater to your tastes.

They have many blends when you love more than one tea.

Prices are sold either by the pound of loose tea leaves, or by cans and boxes of sachets.  Range from $5 – 50.

Lots of tea equipment to buy, tea kettles, tea sets, tea strainers, tea storage jars, etc.

  7. I came here twice in 2 days. It was a magical tea experience. I smelt any and every tea and can get my hands on.  The tea cafe was crowded and it was difficult to get a seat.  I made sure to order the scones with clotted cream.  It did not disappoint. I also had the invigorating tea. The spices were perfect. I also picked up some tea from the regular store. Some of the ladies who assist or a awesome with suggestions and flavor profiles of the teas.  While others are so-so, but that is any place right.  I wish they had this place in Texas

  8. My favorite tea spot in town! I love to gift these to friends and family and they've all loved it! When I'm walking by in the area, I like to stop by to try a complimentary tea so that I get an idea of what I want to get next time.
