  1. Great Italian is hard to come by in Fidi, and was disappointed going to Harry's for pizza and meatball parm. Pizzas were just okay, it helped that I did unlimited mimosas to compensate for sub par pizza. And I've gotten the meatball parm a couple times for lunch but it was always underwhelming. Not enough red sauce and cheese didn't melt all the way. On top of the basic food, service is terribly slow. I'm surprised how busy this place can get.

  2. I would come here again just for the hangover pizza. That thing is the ultimate comfort food. Wow.

I was here for a birthday brunch which at the time was $18.95 for 2 hours of unlimited mimosas, bloody marys, coffee, and tea. You could get beer, but at $8 a pop why aren't you drinking mimosas or bloody marys? Simple economics! I preferred the mimosas; the bloody marys just were not spicy enough and I had to resort to putting tabasco in it to get that kick.

Before your order is served you are treated to standard bread and olive oil. Don't be fooled. You want to save that appetite for the hangover pizza. Seriously best thing on the brunch menu.

  3. I've always loved Harry's & I always will. Not only is the food amazing, but the service is always really great. No matter who I bring with me, they all leave satisfied and LOVING the pizza. Will always come back as long as it's open 🙂

  4. It's hard for me to decide which is better – Adrienne's Pizza bar or Harry's? I feel like Harry's slightly edges out Adrienne's and also has more to offer. It's slightly greasier in the good kind of way. The cheese is slightly more succulent, the sausage and pepperoni juicier. They are both thin square cut. Kind of like that 'other' style of Chicago pizza. My office has on a rare occasion ordered in from here. Usually it's for either a someone is leaving, pregnant, getting married, or a team morale (please don't be depressed) pizza party. I don't ever object to free pizza or food though. You can buy my affection and hard work ethic with melted cheese and/or booze any day of the week.

Other items I've tried from here: the calamari is top notch. Not too rubbery, lightly breaded, just right. Veal and chicken parmesan is absolutely delicious. I've even tried some kind of shrimp parmesan, which I had no idea was a thing but its an amazing and life changing thing. Their penne in vodka sauce – decent. Stuffed mushrooms – another life changing appetizer. Everything has been pretty good and tasted still good the next day.

I've never dined in here but I hear they do a pretty excellent unlimited drink brunch on weekends. An odd location – downtown stone street area to meet for the weekend. But hey, $20-ish dollars for unlimited mimosas or bloodies plus/including your food order is a steal (which includes selections of their tasty pizzas).

  5. I came here for brunch with my girlfriend. We were quickly seated and it was very packed. The food was all reasonably priced. The atmosphere was great. My bus boy was wonderful. My food? Was not for me.

I ended up getting the BLT. When it came out, it was the biggest thing I've seen and was more than excited to dig in. However, I was quickly disappointed. After picking up one piece, the whole thing kinda just fell apart all over my plate. There was so much salad on the sandwich, one would think I ordered just lettuce on bread. I opened it and there was legit TWO slices
Of bacon for this monster sandwich and two slice tomato. Lol. What happened?

I ended up returning my dish because I'm not a damn rabbit who just wants to eat lettuce and bread. The manager came to my table and apologized and was sincere about it and asked if I wanted anything else. I'm the person that never gets anything after returning another so I kindly declined. He removed it off the bill and let me continue to drink my bottomless mimosa's at no charge except for the juice which was $7 a carafe I believe.

Despite me not enjoying my dish, I want to say it was because it was very busy and want to give them benefit of doubt so I will most likely come back to try brunch again but with a different dish possibly.

  6. Best pizza in the FiDi. When you are hungry and have family or friends to share a big pie this is the option you were looking for. Service is OK, just care about the pizza.

  7. Came here for brunch today. We ordered mimosas and I got their Arugula and parmesan pizzatte without the meat on top. Altogether with tax and tip, my group each paid $30, for the drinks included, I was quite impressed. The mimosas weren't too strong.

The pizzatte was very delicious and I ended up bringing 3 slices home. The parmesan slices were fresh, not too salty and just the right amount of flavor.

The service was polite, accommodating and relatively quick.

I hope to return soon and definitely recommend this place to others.

  8. This pub style restaurant was where we took a break to feed our hungry on a weekend mid-afternoon after a photoshoot. The restaurant had plenty of seating. The hostess sat us in the back room in table booth. The menu runs the usual gamut of Italian American fare and sandwiches. The pizza looked good but we did go for that. We started with the fried calamari. It was nice and tender coated with a light batter. I went with the Meatball Parm and my friend went for grilled chicken with peppers & mozzarella. Our waitress bright and cheery. The sandwich was huge. I think one sandwich actually can feed two people. The meatballs in flavorful tomato sauce oozing with cheese in a warm crusty Italian bread. My friend's sandwich was the same.

It was a nice casual place to rest, feed our hunger before heading out. Harry's Italian definitely did its job. We both had enough (other half of sandwich) for next day's lunch.
