  1. Been here many, many times…  Nothing incredible about the atmosphere is right, but:

    +Innovative rolls
    +Fresh fish
    +Extensive menu
    +Reasonable prices
    +ALL YOU CAN EAT DEAL!!!!!

    – Slow service

  2. I give it 5 stars for the following reasons:

    -Fair prices
    -Fresh and great taste
    -Friendly Service
-Menu has a big selection for a small restaurant.

    Here are my favorites
-Haruki roll – key ingredient calamari
-Spider roll – key ingredient soft shell crab
-Fire Dragon roll – key ingredients crab and avocado
-Love heart roll – it's not on the regular menu but you can ask for it, it's crab, eel, cashews (sounds weird but it's so good), cucumber wrapped in a pink soy wrap.
-Fried Ice cream – best I ever had..REALLY.

I tried ordering the all you can eat once, but it's just too much for me. Not that I can't eat it, I definitely stuffed my face with 6 rolls plus miso soup and salad that came with it just because I could. But I vowed never to do it again, because that was just plain greedy of me. But if you have a huge appetite, it is worth it especially since there is a huge selection of sushi that you can choose.

My husband and I go once or twice a month. We try to limit ourselves to once a month b/c we're trying to watch our carbs, but it's hard not to keep going!

  3. This is one of my favorite sushi spots. It's a very low-key, casual local restaurant in South Orange, located on a little side street off of South Orange Ave.

It's a walkable distance from the train station. If you are taking a car to get there, there are a few spaces in front of the restaurant but you may end up having to find either street parking or go to one of the paid lots in town.

When you enter, either a host/hostess or one of the waitresses will greet you and seat you. It's a small eatery, but there are a good number of tables. There are a few seats at the sushi bar, too. You'll get two menus – the regular menu or the 1 page laminated All-You-Can-Eat menu.

Many people go for the AYCE deal, which is $23.99. You can order any of the appetizers, rolls/ hand rolls, or sushi pieces on the AYCE menu. On the back of the AYCE menu, there are descriptions of each roll and note of whether a roll is spicy, cooked, and/or vegetarian. A small miso soup and salad with ginger dressing come with it. It's a good deal, but make sure you don't order more than you can eat because there is a leftover fee (also, it's just not good form).

I will order from the regular menu because there are some rolls and items that are not available on the AYCE men. Plus, sometimes I just can't commit to AYCE. I've been going here for years, so I can say that I've tried almost everything on the menu (I haven't had the tonkatsu here). It's all good and at a reasonable price.

I highly recommend Harusame! It's my never-disappoints sushi spot!
