Cute place. Had an urge for a Cuban sandwich and found this place on the Yelp app. First of all, the address is 4800 Broadway but it's located on 48th between Broadway and Park. I scored a meter spot up front but noticed that there was another entrance from a private lot. Other patrons were using the lot so I assume it was okay.
I did take out but would happily eat in the next time. I saw some large portions of food hitting the tables and the dishes definitely looked good. I got the Cubano Especial, which was delicious … basically a Cuban with chorizo on it. I also got the tostones, which were good and there were about 6 in the small. I also got the ham croquettes, which were amazing! Small but dense and very good.
The people who work there were very nice but didn't speak much English. I would come here again.
This place is off the hook! Looking for cheap delicious Cuban food in the Hudson County area? Go here…..it's spacious, clean, nice staff. Just about everything on their menu is worth while. I love their steak sandwiches and their churrasco is mad good. If you love croquetas like me, this is the spot to get them, they remind me of the croquetas from El Fenix Bakery in Union City. They have a parking lot which is nice, most restaurants in Hudson County are street parking and we all know how much of a nightmare that is. OH! and they speak English which is a plus lol.
This place makes decent Cuban sandwiches and empanadas. The price is right and the service was fast and friendly. Not as good as the fare on Calle 8 in Florida but much better than many of the other local places.
