I stumbled upon this wine store over the weekend while I was in the area–they had a sign out front advertising wine tastings that caught my eye. The owner himself was pouring the wines for the tasting and was easy to talk to and super friendly. He said the store hosts tastings every weekend, based around a theme. I ended up leaving with a bottle of one of the wines I tasted–a really great summery white. Prices seemed very fair and there was a large selection. This area has a lot to choose from in terms of wine stores, but Heritage has found its own place among them. Can't wait to visit again the next time I'm on Dekalb Avenue.
Can be somewhat hard to find what you're Looking for as the middle sections aren't labeled, but it's a nice place to stumble on something if you have a few minutes to browse.
You can get a decent bottle for $12-$15. Right off the subway stop, and in the area of some nice restaurants you may be able to bring your own bottles to.

Friendly, engaged store owner.

I'd pop in again if I was in the area.
