  1. Extremely tasty shrimp tacos, and VERY good margaritas! I will be back as much as possible! The service was terrific as well. There is plenty of space if you want to be at the bar, out in the open, or a little more intimate.

  2. Came on a Friday night, early around 7 and thankfully the wait was only 15 minutes, about an hour after that the wait was ridiculous! Happy we came early. We started off with guacamole, which was good, didn't look or taste like it was made to order, also came with a salsa sauce. Shrimp ceviche came with tostones, it was delicious, didn't have a strong citrus taste. The pork empanadas were my favorite! Very delicious, they come with two, and they are a good size. After eating all these good appetizers, and having drinks, we were pretty full, but I did want to try the tostones with skirt steak, pico, guacamole, and sour cream. They were awesome! Steak had a delicious flavor, and with all the other toppings gave it an extra kick. The only thing I didn't like which I did express to the waiter is the food was coming out ridiculously fast, faster than McDonald's….I felt rushed, which I mentioned also, he said because the wait on a Friday/Saturday is three hours. Well that isn't my problem, we came out to enjoy our food, and drinks. We definitely didn't overstay our welcome. I must say I enjoyed this place a lot more than burrito bar! And I'm happy we decided to try different appetizers, maybe next time we will include an entree to our dinner.

  3. Great vibe- staff was friendly and courteous.  Food was good!  Highly recommend.

  4. Came in for lunch while visiting friends on Staten Island. The place seemed empty when we came in, which was good because it quickly filled up. By the time we were leaving there were several people waiting to be sat.

The food here is served in monstrous proportions – at least my burrito was. I had the Mexican street corn as an appetizer because, why wouldn't you? Have you ever had it? Then you know how amazing it is. I digress…

The burrito I ordered was good, not overly rave-worthy though.

I left fat and happy, and you can't ask for more than that!

  5. The atmosphere of this place is really cool. It looks small a but is on the bigger side. The bar is a decent size and the staff is super friendly. I had a margarita , coñsuelas empanadas and rice and beans.  The food and drinks were delicious. I feel it is a little pricy though. The empanadas were on the menu for $4. And on the bill it was $7.50 for 2. They're filling but you need a side and this doesn't come with it. I never questioned why it was more , but I will next time. I'll def. come back to this place sometime soon to try more things ! Was not a fan of the chocolate banana empanadas, as wasn't everyone else at my table.

The churro are to die for though!!!!

  6. Positives:
Guacamole and chips – BEST i've ever had! Fresh, delicious, chunky.

Tacos are small but delicious and CHEAP. Server was honest and told us two tacos are generally enough to fill people up. At about $3 per taco, that's not bad.

The atmosphere here is very nice. Dark but not too dark and good for families or dates.

    Negatives:
The banana chocolate empanada goes down in my book as the single WORST dessert i've ever had in my life. It was basically a sugar powdered shell containing blackened, melted bananas. Gross! It exploded onto my plate and I just abandoned it because the taste was nothing special.

  7. It's a fun place to hang out.
Would I say they have the best tacos and guac? Probably not. But they still pretty darn good. And Baja street corn is incredible. And drinks are cold and refreshing.
It is something neighborhood needed for long time – so there is no surprise they are always busy.

The atmosphere and setup cannot be beat if you looking to spend fun afternoon with friends laughing and drinking and eating.

Bar is pretty big, and located by the open windows  – they are on 2nd floor – so it's nice to sit there to catch a breeze, watch cars go by on Forest and just relax.

I been to their Brooklyn restaurants, and it is very similar – same vibe, similar menu.
Let see how they grow in new neighborhood – so far, good start!

  8. Came here for dinner with two of my girlfriends on a week night. We ordered margaritas and they were great. Ordered the naked burrito which was good, but not sure if it was worth the amount spent on it. If you wanted a naked burrito (burrito bowl) they charged you $1 more which made no sense since there isn't a tortilla anymore lol. They also charge you for any meat added on ($4 extra). It's expensive here for a "taco joint". I'd rather head to Taco Azteca on Victory which is authentic tacos and way cheaper.
