  1. Been coming here for years, and it's always been a favorite for me and my dad. Unfortunately, now we've been going to Golden Corral, but this place is worth mentioning because it's a good location (right off Rt. 1 South), and has a decent variety. It can get crowded, the bathrooms are ehh with bright lights and looks a bit dirty.

Salad bar is fairly decent: pasta and macaroni salad, cesar salad, spring mix, romaine, ice berg lettuce options. Several types of salad dressings. Raw veggies (mushrooms, broccoli, shredded carrots, onions, tomatoes), bacon, eggs, croutons, nuts, beans

I like their steak wedge fries (if they still have them), fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mac'n cheese –can't go wrong with these staples. Great taco/chili meat, always been my favorite to eat there. I like it here than any other buffet place. Anything else can be hit or miss, but that's just a personal preference.

Desserts: Severely lacking in any kind of substance or flavor. I have always been disappointed with it, but it never matters because I eat so much food that I don't really want dessert LOL. Cookies are OK, can't really mess that up. But cakes are bland and dry (seems to be a standard at buffet places), cheesecakes have no creamy texture (seems soft and mushy, like tofu), and the only thing I eat off that is the graham crust. Ice creams are OK, not runny and they don't melt ASAP, so there's some consistency.

Weekend breakfasts: LOVE IT. Sausages, pancakes, bacon, thick hearty hash brown triangle patties, YUM!

All in all, a quick fast place to fill your belly. Not too bad at all.

  2. I'm kind of on the fence for this place. Join the Internet club and get BOGO coupons is what made it 3 stars for me. My girlfriend and I used to come at 3 and eat the dinner food at 330 for the buy one get one lunch price….BOOYA. When doing that it is worth it. Would I pay full price for dinner …no. My girlfriend is vegetarian so they have some options for her but not enough to make it worth full price. I can not lie about loving the chicken and dumplings. Seriously the C&D are awesome. You can also make a decent taco at the taco bar. I actually like the amount of stuff they have to make a salad out of but who's coming to the buffet for a salad? Steak is usually pretty dry but the fried or baked chicken is good. My parents tell me the Breakfast is really good and worth it but I'm normally not up early enough on weekends for it. If you can get it with a coupon it's worth the couple of bucks for a quick meal with several options….at full price… I think not.

  3. I friends and I decided to stop by here to grab a quick bite to eat. I've never been here before and would I probably back be in the near future? Eh, I'll take my chances.

Upon walking into the establishment, we were greeted by a courteous cashier who expressed a great attitude toward his customers. The service was great but the food was ok. But I guess it's "what you pay for is what you get". An AYCE buffet and drinks for about $10 and change isn't bad price-wise. The food resembled what they would serve you at college campuses. Chicken, rice, soup, soft-served ice cream and whatnot. There was even a slurpee station. The establishment however reeked with a smell of beer for some odd reason. But that's none of my business.

The cleanliness of the establishment is questionable. We were seated by the entrance to the kitchen so we had a little glimpse of what the kitchen was like every time the door opened. What I saw was a big puddle of standing water on the floor and garbage bin after garbage bin filled with trash piled against one another. The soft-served ice cream station was apps infrequently cleaned as there was ice cream piled up at the bottom where the drain was.

  4. I've been to plenty of Buffets, this one… has a lot of room for improvement.  I went there as part of a field trip with my school.  They did a good job of handling our rather large group.  The staff was hot or cold.  The hostess was very friendly and so was one of the waitresses that commutes from Sea Isle!  Some of the staff that was refilling food and/or carving items not so cheerful.

Food was of a fairly good temperature.  I liked the wide array of items but you really had to pick and choose what you got because some food looked and tasted homemade but a large portion of the food seemed like it was out of a can or precooked and just heated through.

The desserts were a highlight of the meal.  They seemed fresher and made with more care compared to most of the other things.

Some dude was walking around making balloon animals and doing some magic tricks.  Not sure if this is a normal thing or just something they do on Thursdays or if they know a large group in coming in.

If they get some of the quality in check I can definitely see us returning. I will say most of the students (with less refined pallets) seemed to enjoy all the food.  However a few students asked with a pleading look on their face if we are going to stop there again on our next trip to NYC.

  5. Yeeeeeears ago this place used to be a great place to grab good food with some southern flavor. However, over the past couple of years, this place has seriously taken a turn for the worse. I recently went there on 6/20/15 and decided to inquire about why the change in food, particularly the taste with one of the workers, and was advised that the place was under new ownership. Maybe this is the reason why the macaroni and cheese was tasteless and seemed like it was made out of the box with cheap off brand chess melted on top; or why the chicken tasted dry, or better yet why the lettuce was stale and the ice cream machine was broken. This place is NOT worth $11.00. You can tell by the lack of business that many others have seen the change as well. Hopefully the ownership will realize this and make some changes, however I will not one of those around the experience any future plans.
