I came back to Honestly Delicious since I was visiting LI for mother's day. While the baked goods and iced coffee were delicious, I was disappointed by the rest of my order. It wasn't crowded on a Sunday afternoon (only 2 customers), but it took over 15 minutes to get my order! I think the cashier was new…
I ordered the egg sandwich of the day– which included bacon, cheddar and their own sauce of Dijon mustard and mayo. This was one of the worst sandwiches I've ever had — I'm not sure if the roll was stale or not but it was so dense and doughy that I couldn't eat it at all. The sauce did not help the compact gooeyness of the roll. There was a good amount of egg on the sandwich, so luckily that made for . I would recommend sticking with the baked goods.
Cute cafe with tasty baked goods. They also offer a light fair but I have not tried that yet. The banana nut muffins are moist with a generous amount of nuts. The plain and raspberry crumb cake muffins are delicious, more crumbs than cake which is my personal preference and the raspberry sauce tastes very fresh. Both the plain and the chocolate croissants are more cake-like than flaky which I do not like but the chocolate was of good quality. They have a wide variety of cupcakes that look quite pretty with some innovative flavor combinations that I am sure are worth a try. Cupcakes come in 2 sizes: regular and mini.
The place itself is clean and cozy with tables indoors and outdoors. Staff is friendly but not very efficient: as I was ordering the phone rang and the person took the call that turned into an order. Someone else came to help then the original person took over and in the end I was there for a really long time because they had to check and recheck what the order was.
There is street parking and also a parking lot behind the building.
