  1. Kind of shocked that people come here to eat – looks like a straight up dive bar with a good crowd. Went there before dinner at Sushi Seki across the street to burn through some wait time, and ended up getting a bit tipsy here! Their drinks are VERY strong and their $5 margarita can't be beat in price! It was Memorial Day weekend last weekend, and it was almost empty, but for the full bar. People started coming in and sitting in the back, which is when I first realized that people actually did come here to eat! The dining area seemed divey as well, but it didn't look unhygienic.  We smelt a whiff of someone smoking weed outside, as the windows were all open. Everyone clapped and started to sing along with the juke box – country music's not my thing, but for a dive bar, it's the perfect crowd pleaser. The bartender seemed attentive and smiled a lot – great attitude!

  2. I actually did end up coming back here for happy hour and was not disappointed. Their $5 margaritas are great and the bartender is such a sweetheart. Definitely check this spot out if you're in the area.

  3. LUNCHTIME REVIEW

Quiet, empty, but that's expected of a bar around lunchtime. Had the brisket sandwich, which was delicious. The fries were just so-so.

Everything is well-priced and the service is good and quick. Will stop by again!

  4. A great bar for Patriots fans during football season! Get there early for a seat at the bar.

My friend ordered the wings and they are garlicky and the sauce was absolutely amazing. I ordered the nachos and was pleasantly surprised by the portion size. It was smothered very well in cheese, guacamole, meat, and beans.

There are many TVs in here, but they reserve the big one in the center of the bar for the Pats game. Bartenders are friendly though service can be slow when it gets crowded (hence the 4 star)

I find it kind of strange that people bring their children here because of the amount of alcohol that gets served on Sundays.

  5. Cute bar on the ues. I wish it was around when I lived a few blocks away! I've been once for brunch.. Not unlimited booze, but it was super cheap..$15 I think for 2 drinks and food. Food was surprisingly good. I've been several times just for drinks and always had a good time. Friendly service and they didn't forget my extra limes!Pretty low key…def a place you come for a beer or simple mixed drink. If you tried to order a fancy cocktail you'd prob be disappointed, but that's your own damn fault for getting a drink like that at a bar called honky tonk! Worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood!

  6. Just a bar, but Baker Street Pub is way better. This place is too narrow and weirdly positioned. Came on Halloween and it was packed- but not the good type of "packed"- I could sit down in the back but I could barely maneuver by the bar, which has an approximate two person width between it and the wall.

  7. If you are in the mood for a place where you can get that country feel while enjoying some BBQ or Tex-Mex, give this place a try.

A few people in my group got the salads, and everyone had positive feedback.  What was nice was it was pretty customizable to choose what kind of protein you wanted in it.  Also, they came in a nice crispy taco shell.

I got the BBQ sampler (Pulled Pork, Brisket, Wings, & Ribs with a side of Cole slaw and Cornbread).  If I could do it again, stick to just the ribs.  The wings were good too so maybe get it for an appetizer, but there was nothing special about the pork or brisket.

Also, what was pretty surprising was despite having a good amount of beer to choose from and a decent sized liquor menu, there really weren't any southern-style cocktails anywhere.  Even as simple as a sweet tea cocktail wasn't listed, so just a little surprising.

The service was very pleasant and attentive.  I'd come back for the country music and the ribs.

  8. I love this bar.  It's not a bar I would travel to but if you live in the neighborhood this is definately a great spot. They have cheap drinks (including $5 margs) and pretty solid bar food.  It is a total dive and reminds me of a bar you would find in Texas. My room mate and I come here on Thursdays to watch football.  The bartenders are always pleasant and this spot is always a good time.
