This location is cute, I'm a huge fan of christmas lights, add that to the woodworks from the bar to the seats, plus some flowers in mason jars, and you get what looks like a DIY homesy feel in a dimly lit cabin. Went here with a friend for Roberta's specials and was not disappointed. We split 4 orders of square deliciousness, the Bee Sting, Cheesus Christ, Beastmaster, and the special of the day, the Upside down pizza.
My favorites in order are the Beastmaster, Bee Sting, Cheesus Christ, Upside Down.
This is a great bar. If I lived closer I would be coming here every week, as it stands it's more of an every other month sort of affair.
As a restaurant, it's a bit odd. The bar food is fine for a snack, but assembling a full meal means you have to be really into exact what they have, or go for the one or two more substantial plates.
What's on offer is high quality and artfully presented. When I'm not too hungry, a nice cheese place and a couple pints is a fine way to spend a couple hours.
Also great are the many kitchen pop-ups that are here, which can be a madhouse but can also be a way to catch a chef or restaurant doing something experimental or just really good. Nice trivia night as well.
In my experience – this is an awesome spot to enjoy a brunch or evening dinner. It's tapas-themed so there's tons of tasty small plates to enjoy. It's located in the East Williamsburg area and tucked away in a very underwhelming section of the neighborhood but convenient to get to – only steps away from the Graham Ave station off the L.
Prices are good, drinks are awesome, and the service is friendly. Another cool note to add is that they're juggling a ton of events through the year so when you decide to swing by, take a look at their board up near the bar and see if there's anything that catches your eye!
This bar is the cutest place ever. It has all the elements I am looking for in a bar. There's a lot of attention being paid to the littlest details: the lights cast a glow without being too dim, the menu is printed on heavyweight textured paper with a beautiful typeface, the water glasses are petite and fit in the palm of your hand.
The selection here is pretty much first date food: wine and beer flights, meat and cheese plates. Very wise choice economically too, since there's no need for mixologists or chefs. However, I would highly recommend getting the mulled wine. It was smooth and just the right temperature – warm and soothing, but not so hot that the alcohol vapors were choking me a little. It's served in a tea cup, so you drink delicately from it.
And oh, they were playing really chill electronic music like Empire of The Sun. Whoo!
Came for the Brokelyn wine deal but definitely would come back for the feel. Apparently, this place used to be a banquet hall so there's tons of space in the back area. The lighting is ultra dark and romantic, perfect for a date night! They were bumping some JT when we came here so props for good music choice.
Excited to return here and try the food sometime!
