  1. Love this bar. The service and manager have a great and friendly attitude!! Hidden jewel indeed and I always have a good time with the different crowds I bring in :). Keep being awesome!

Tuesday they have a 25 piece wing and coors light pitcher HH for $25 bucks. Also make sure to check in for a free shot or well drink! One of my fave bars in ktown!! Be sure to stop by and check it out. You will not be disappointed.

  2. Love the Ichi Cellar – lots of space, bombing music, great drinks, cheap prices, and no cover charge! What else do you need for a great night? Their happy hours are fantastic. It's more like a lounge than a club – so it's not quite as intense as NY nightclubs.

  3. K-Town is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Manhattan, and places like Ichi Cellar are a big reason why.

From cheap happy hours where you can drink a pitcher of beer with 24 wings for $25 (what?! that's insane), to a late night dance party where Barry's Yacht Club hits you over the head with awesome hip hop in a room pulsating with lights and bass, it's got a lot of versatility, and it's always going to be a pretty fun hang.

One of the best parts is the lack of a cover charge. Lots of clubs of this nature won't hesitate to charge you a few bucks on the way in, but Ichi Cellar doesn't. And given the casual nature of the bar, it falls somewhere between a dive bar with great music and a nightclub. That's the speed in which I can handle clubs, personally.

  4. This lounge sits at the periphery of Koreatown. I had no idea it existed, so I wasn't surprised to see lots of empty seats for a Friday evening – the real crowd was upstairs gorging on their buffet. Then again, it was early. (I hear the buffet gets packed late nights.)

You're here to drink, and Ichi delivers. If you break a glass, they'll sweet it up pronto. Want bottles? They're stocked. Want shotglasses? Tell them how many. Service is quick and eager to please. If you're hungry and not willing to leave, get the wings; they're quite tasty.

  5. If it's Saturday night and you're looking for a place to listen to dubsteppy club remixes of the rap songs you love to tap it back to in SoulCycle while also sitting on a bar stool and feeling no obligation to flex in any way, Ichi Cellar is your spot. It's like a club, but a chill one, which is perfect when you want to be out and have some fun but you don't really care about a scene. They have crazy happy hour specials (and a kick-ass Yelp deal) during the week, but you're gonna have to pay full price on weekends. That's ok, though, because there's no cover charge to get in, and no expectation for any kind of crazy bottle service or anything nutty like that.

It's pure K-Town, with wings on the menu and a wide range of Soju, so you won't miss any of those essentials if you come here instead of some of the more traditional, less clubby spots further west.

  6. A faithful haunt in one of my more beloved parts of town… the previously unnamed (albeit unofficially named) cellar portion of IchiUmi was finally given an appropriate moniker.  Aside from having been given an official name, everything to be loved about this joint from before such times has (thankfully) remained the same.

The same dark flight of steps leading to the familiar and dimly lit basement is still intact…  The curtain of metal beads still serves as the dividing line separating the bar hallway from the threshold of the bathroom area… and the same attractive staff has been retained (if not the exact same persons, then at least the spirit of attractiveness has not diminished) to serve booze and pressure the more testosterone filled "man-imal" into pounding shots.

Most importantly, the traditionally good deals have remained in place as well.  From Yelp check-in specials (yay for free things), to food and booze combinations, this spot won't leave your sobriety nor your appetite disappointed.

  7. I really really like their wings here. Atmosphere is good, and just the right balance of music/ ambient in this cellar bar.
Good long happy hours from 5-8pm. Which they do 25$ wings and pitcher combo, 5$ shots and many more.
    Will return!

  8. Ichi Cellar is a lounge in the heart of Koreatown in New York City.  I really enjoy Ichi Cellar because it is "hidden" downstairs under the famous Ichi Umi seafood buffet (yelp.com/biz/ichiumi-new…).  Great place because when you're nice and buzzed, just head on upstairs to have a great buffet / meal!!

Ichi Cellar has a pretty good menu including:
    – $1 dollar oysters (happy hour from 5pm to 8pm)
    – $5 well drinks
    – $15 draft pitcher

Our group decided to get their 24 wings and pitcher special for $25.  I'm personally a fan of the Soy Garlic flavor for the Korean Fried Chicken Wings (double fried).  Bottle service also available (including Grey Goose).  Great for groups!!

    ENJOY!!
