  1. Standard IHOP.

Fun fact: There was an IHOP directly across the street that was absolutely horrid in terms of the staff and service. They replaced the manager and it was drastically improved. Then they were immediately replaced by another business who bought the space.

This IHOP has none of that old staff, and falls squarely in the 'average' field in every category: Service, Food, Decor. There's nothing noteworthy, but there isn't anything wrong either.

  2. I was VERY wary of this place when I read the terrible yelp reviews. Unfortubately, I was already sitting in the restaurant. Yikes!! Fortunately for me my experience could not have been more different than the reviews I read. My sister and I were greeted politely at the door and immediately taken to a table. This was about 9:30 in the morning on Veteran's Day. They weren't packed l, but they were doing good business. Our waitress, Shanequa, was prompt, charming and very efficient. No long wait for our meals, sirloin tips for my sis, and the pumpkin spice waffle for me. The food was

hot, delicious and fresh when it arrived at our table. All in all, great experience. No rude serving staff. No-one hanging around gabbing on their phones or to each other instead of working. I would definitely return if I'm in the area and feel like some waffles.

  3. Ordered a bunch of food here and all of it was pretty decent.
    Loved the endless coffee.
    Service was friendly and quick.
Still a little overpriced for diner food. (5 dollars for a large glass of OJ?!)
Still looking for a real diner though-they're so rare in this part of Brooklyn.

  4. Surprisingly fast and pleasant service here! I was seated for a table for one right away on a Saturday morning. Not bad, I'll probably go again.

  5. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not a full house for Sunday brunch. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by smiling female employees whom I later advised that my party had not arrived. I love the comfy seating that was located nearby for customer waiting on their party or take-out.

Soon as everyone arrived, there was no wait time for us to be seated. Had a wonderful time over a nice, warm waffle and eggs with turkey sausage. My mouth is just watering as I write this review. Great customer service. I am so glad they finally reopened after having to relocate due to across the street after the land was sold for the construction of new residential/commercial buildings.

Forget about the IHOP in Canarsie, I'm definitely sticking to the one in downtown Brooklyn.
