  1. I don't know what happened.  A few years ago it was still delicious.

Went here over the weekend and waited 30 mins (not too bad).  Ordered the Colorado omelette and the steak tips and onions.

Colorado omelette was nothing as pictured or described.  It was suppose to contain shredded beef but instead I received beef dices.  Not that I'm really that particular.  It just felt like they didn't care when preparing the omelette.  The taste was mediocre.

Steak tips and onions.  Disgusting.  Beef was powdery.  Never had beef like that before.  I think it has been sitting out for the entire day.  I couldn't believe no one quality checked it.  I doubt they care.  The pancakes that came with this meal was on point.

Service was really friendly. Still disappointed :(.

  2. Can't say this my favorite place in Flushing, but still it's IHOP.

Came here for breakfast one time. Got the cheese, bacon, avocado omelet and T-bone with red velvet pancakes.

The omelet was ok, even though it sounded healthy, but everything added together was still almost 1000 calories, not counting the pancakes.

The T-bone was awful. I don't remember the steak tasting this bad in the past. I always ordered T-bone when I went to IHOP. It was so salty and hardly taste like beef.

Even though the red velvet pancakes tasted fine, it wasn't very good looking. They looked dry and the color looked kinda off and dead. I don't understand how IHOP can mess up pancakes,

Don't park in the back under the tree. We got loads of surprises when we got back to the car in the middle of February. I can't imagine what'd have happened if it was a summer day.

  3. I was a little leery of coming here since the reviews were not very flattering, but I decided to give it a shot since I live in the local area and was really in the mood for pancakes.

For starters, I had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, weekends here are packed! You really need  to be patient since the waiting area is small, so is the restaurant and parking lot itself. During my wait I noticed how all the servers were very pleasant and friendly with their customers. Amid the bustling and chaotic sound of plates and cups banging up against each other there was an organized chaos that was beautifully executed and choreographed. As hectic, loud and busy it was, the staff was not phased by it at all. They were all smiling and working together as a team to get the job done! I don't know what "IHOP Juice"  they're giving their employees, but I want some!

The manager and the young lady in charge of taking and calling people's name on the wait list were all super duper nice and cordial. There was one customer who wanted to pay for 5 separate bills with visa gift cards, but did not know which of her stack of cards were valid. The manager had no problem helping her process this time consuming transaction. After he was done, 5 of her cards were declined but the other ones she had were enough to reconcile the bill. Kudos to you Sir for being so professional, If I were you I would have probably lost my mind!

When we finally sat down, Jessica our server was very sweet and took our orders and made sure to come back to check on us. The food is typical IHOP. We ordered the following items.

    * Coffee for sure, always fresh and delicious. Cheeseburger with fries which was good and priced right! 🙂
    * Chicken fried steak with 2 eggs over easy, hash browns and pancakes. Chicken fried steak was moist and the hash browns were perfectly crisped on the outside and the potatoes were moist.
*Breakfast sampler crepe was packed with scrambled eggs and bacon bits smothered in gravy. Delicious crepe with a hint of sweetness.

Overall I was a very happy camper! The food ranked a 4 out of 5, but they get that extra star for Excellence in customer service and working with each other as a team from what I can see. The IHOP corporate team should be very proud of this group of employees and give them a big pat on the back for a job well done! A raise wouldn't hurt either!  🙂

  4. This place gets really crowded on the weekend, but it is easier to get seating after 1pm. They have their own parking lot that fits about 15 cars, give or take. The location itself is very small, but homey. I came here on a Saturday at around 1:15pm and had no trouble of getting seated right away. The waitstaff here is very friendly and attentive. I love how I was able to just pop in, grab a quick bite to eat, and be on my way with no fuss.

  5. Came here on a surprisingly busy Friday morning. There was a wait but we were seated pretty fast. The service was fast and on point. The food itself was mediocre. Chicken and waffles was disappointing. Pretty much a stale waffle with heavily breaded chicken fingers. Best part of that meal was the churned butter.

  6. I finally understand the low ratings… I believe that just because an establishment is a chain, doesn't mean it should automatically get less stars… BUT this IHOP is pretty bad.

Messed up their signature hash browns and burnt them and served it to the customer anyway?  I don't know~  The rest of the food tasted just ok, but it was pretty unprofessional of them to give us the wrong check.

Don't think I'll be coming back ever again.

  7. I haven't been to an IHOP in a loooong time, but I didn't have a bad experience. The location was great as I was getting my car fixed at Firestone a few businesses over. The boyfriend and I went to have some breakfast. Right off the bat we could tell this was a busy location. We were seated pretty fast (wait time was about 5 minutes). The waitress was nice and efficient. Food came out fast and exactly as ordered.

The location seems a bit sketchy as there are signs telling you to park at your own risk, and not to have your child in the bathroom unattended for their safety.

I would return to this IHOP as the food and service were good. I wouldn't go seeking this place out though.

  8. I love pancakes and they have all you can eat pancakes.  I love their butter pecan syrup. I love coffee and they keep bringing me coffee!

Sometimes after early morning prayer service, we come here for fellowship right when they open. The smell of bacon is overwhelming but who doesn't like bacon? The only problem is that you'll end up leaving the place with your clothes smelling like it.. Anyways, at 7am, the place is empty and usually we are the first ones there.  I try to avoid coming here any time after 8am though. I am not a very patient woman in the morning without a cup of coffee..

The food is decent. They don't burn my pancakes. My omelette is in one shape. It's a chain so I don't really expect much out of the other foods besides the pancakes really.. International House of Pancakes should mean perfect pancakes, right?

The parking lot is small but you'll find parking if you're early. It's just annoying to get out during rush hour though since everyone is traveling westward on Northern Blvd. Just be careful!
