  1. Definitely not the best ihop. The food just didn't taste right. I've been here three times, so I've given it a fair try before this review. The eggs don't taste right, the sausages were burnt once and dry and tasted old once. We didn't get Edd's or sausages the third time. So tried the crepe, and nope, not good. The oy thing I liked were the stuffed French toast. Overall, The wait is long and the food isn't good, so go to a diner instead.

  2. I have never tried Ihop. Today was my first time. I went around 11:00am and it was so packed considering it was a Monday. We got seated as soon as we walked in. We waited a good 5 minutes to get a menu. we looked at out menu and stuff. Waited another 5 minutes to give our order in. After our order was given i waited for a good 25 minutes for the food. So minus two stars for that.
The food was good. I ordered the breakfast sampler & my boyfriend got the breaded steak & pancakes. I lovedddd that we got our own coffee pot. Im a coffee addict & we legit drank like 4 cups each haha.
The waitress was kind. Although she seemed in a hurry & everything she was nice and had a smile on her face. Might come back when it is a little bit less hectic. Maybe in the afternoon or a Wednesday morning.

  3. I'm almost ashamed to be penning a review for an IHOP. Emphasis on ALMOST.

IHOP or International House of Pancakes, is practically an American cultural institution. It's one of those breakfast-themed chain restaurant franchises that cater to the hungry, huddled masses of American familes looking for reasonably priced, tasty food – devoid of nutritional value,  but not of delicious flavors and an overwhelming punch of caloric intake.

Disclaimer aside, this was my first time at their Jackson Heights location despite being around these parts for roughly 2 years now. My only other experience was at their Uptown Manhattan location. My mom and I came here for lunch noms on Palm Sunday at my little sister's request because she had a hankering for nothing other than…PANCAKES.

My mom and sister ordered their 2 x 2 x 2 meal which is composed of 2 buttermilk pancakes, 2 eggs (served any style) and 2 meats (with turkey or beef sausage links and bacon to choose from) and I ordered the chicken and waffle platter…why? Because waffles are my weakness and with tasty seasoned and fried boneless chicken strips?! Now we're talkin'.

The buttermilk pancakes were pretty large, thick but not overwhelmingly so and served warm with a dollop of butter smack in the center and melting a little…just as it should be. My mom and sister both went for beef sausage links and they were small, tasty and nothing to write home about – just your typical little sausage links (I posted pics!) and my mom and sis each enjoyed their sunnyside up and scrambled eggs, respectively.

My waffles were crunch where they should be and light fluffy in other parts. They were served as small triangles and the entire meal was perfect to leave me NOT hungry and NOT full to capacity where I feel like I'm gonna pop – so portion-wise everybody won.

The fried chicken strips that came with my platter were delicious and a decent ratio of fried vs. chicken, plus the batter was seasoned really nicely, the chicken was juicy, flavorful white meat and together with IHOP's delicious honey mustard was like heaven on a plate, for only $8.99!!!

I wouldn't make a habit out of IHOP, but I can see why some people would. I'm afraid I would end up the size of a planet if I did and I am not trying to take the place of Pluto in our solar system. But seriously, 5 stars for this location – our server, Princess, was a peach – our unlimited refill coffee pot was delish and our food was fantastic. Overall a great experience.

  4. I was randomly craving pancakes on a friday night piss drunk hoping it would hit the spot. I got the 2 by 2 combo with two strips of turkey bacon , two scrambled eggs and 2 layers of buttermilk pancakes. The place itself is very warm and inviting, there is a very friendly hostess who got us a table right away, there was also a very friendly water who was able to show me all the sides that i can add on top of the combo, and on the table a bunch of yummy syrups were laid out including strawberry blueberry and maple. They also gave plenty of butter and coffee with half and half and any milk we wanted. THe food was done really quick and the pancakes were on point, they were hot fresh and fluffy, the bacon was thick and not too greasy but well done, and the scrambled eggs had the perfect amount of salt and pepper. I havent tried the actual dishes like sandwhiches or chicken but i definitely would go back to try more. Sadly they did not have red velvet pancakes that ran for a limited time and thy didnt have any waffles but the hotcakes smelled amazing ^_^!! I cant wait to come back:)

  5. I really don't understand why this IHop has such horrible reviews. I've been to this location multiple times and it never disappoints.

For starters the food here is amazing! Everything is served in great portions, comes to the table nice and warm, and doesn't take too long to arrive.

The service here is also commendable. The servers are nice and friendly and frequently check up on you.

I would say the only downfall of this location is that it is SO small. There is always at least a 10 minute wait, and forget the weekends. You'll be waiting for 30+ minutes for a table. However I won't rate a restaurant based on their wait time because ultimately it is out of there hands. The servers work hard to get everyone seated as soon as they can.

All in all, I think this is an amazing place to stop by and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with friends and family.

  6. It's been a while since I had ihop so I decided to go there for breakfast. I decided to try one of there low calorie breakfast plates, the whole wheat banana pancakes were so good, along with scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, and sugar free syrup.

The waitress was very nice and attentive, and I received my food pretty quick.

The restaurant it self was clean and orderly, I wonder if it had something to do with the health department being present to conduct an annual inspection. I guess today was the perfect day to go.

  7. Ladies and gents this place has been open for awhile now!  Came yesterday, they apologized for the slow service since there were only two waiters.  Service was a bit slow but my party of four were in no rush around 9PM.  The only thing that sucked was that they didn't have t bone steak, country fried steak, fried chicken and stuffed french toast.  BOOO.  Anyway, prices are great here, portions are generous and it's all around a good time.  Our waitress was very good considering there were only two!!

  8. We dined here a few months ago…

One star for the great service. The place was packed, but our waitress was fast and efficient. Our food, if you can call it that, came out quickly. This is the second time I've ever been to an IHOP and will definitely be my last. The food is disgusting. Anyone can make a better breakfast at home, even someone who CAN'T cook. The worst canadian bacon I've ever sampled. L's sausages looked like jimmy dean's – those tiny, cheap sausages from the supermarket that's full of chemicals.

L loves all kinds of cuisine, but he hated the quality of food is at IHOP. We really don't understand why this place is packed. We had the standard breakfast combos everyone else was ordering. His nephew had some steak combo or whatever. They both felt sick afterwards. The drinks are so sweet, we could barely drink half a glass each and priced at $2.99, that's ridiculous.

The only reason why we even bothered to dine here — I was given a coupon for one of their breakfast specials. Now I know why they always give away free food. It's horrible!!! I rarely consume food at low-end chain establishments such as IHOP so I wasn't aware how bad the quality was. I like my food to be cooked from scratch with fresh ingredients.

I saw tons of parents bringing their little kids for breakfast. Please don't serve your children this overpriced garbage. You're better off going to the Jackson House if you're looking for a good breakfast, it'll be cheaper as well.
