I have been here several times and I must say, your server makes a world of a difference. Ayesha was pleasant, attentive, helpful, and always approached our table with a smile. She was such a delight, she gave us recommendations and alternatives.
When eating at a food chain, I always order something basic/safe because I know how things can get in a busy kitchen.
This spot can get really busy on the weekends which can compromise the quality of the food. The manager can be seen walking the floor and visiting the tables asking the patrons how everything is.
For a chain like IHOP, one would expect consistent quality of food and service. Not with this location. This particular IHOP is ideal for those wanting to wait 40 minutes to be asked for your order, mediocre quality in the food (after asking where's the food after another 30 minutes) and an indifferent staff. As the only IHOP on Staten Island, the option to go to another location isn't available. You're much better off choosing a completely different venue to save yourself the wasted time and money here.
Where do I even begin!!! "/ never been a huge fan of IHOP an for his main reason it always over packed an understaffed that my food comes out cold an the service sucks due to not many servers an the ones they do have are above there head in tables.
No ketchup! No napkins! No side plates no check up.
I had to get up an ask a bus boy for things! Smh

Oh yeah as I'm walking out I handed the $40 an receipt to our server an told her to keep the change ($6 tip)

I had the cashier guy follow me out to my car an ask if I paid!? Wtf do I look like? I'm not a dishonest person why would I walk out with out paying an on top of it I have my family ( husband an two boys) who does that type of nonsense. Definitely not a normal person. A mother at that.
So I get cold food an waited like 45 min for my food an then I get chased to my car to ask if I paid.

Get your sh*t together Staten Island IHOP.
This Ihop is the only one in Staten Island. The parking area is an accident waiting to happen. Just be careful when you are entering and departing from the parking area. The décor and seating area are ok. The menu is just your typical American breakfast ( pancakes, waffles, etc). My favorite is the veggie omelet with mushrooms. Fair warning: expect a long wait on Sunday mornings. The best time to come here is during the week.
I been to this location several times before. It's almost always busy and there is always a wait. The place looks a bit dingy and could use a bit of update along with more syrup containers — we had to share with three tables!! Our server was nice but forgetful and once she dropped off our food we ceased to exist to her. The food was okay, I ordered an appetizer sampler and the size of the chicken tenders about the size of mid size pinky along with being cold. Definitely a disappointment.
