  1. Extremely wonderful dining experience!

Came here on a Saturday night, called 30 minutes ahead. No reservation, No problem! We got here around 9:30-10 in the evening, were we in for a treat!

The interior was dimly lit, beautiful area, perfect for a personable atmosphere where people are relaxed and can talk freely. We checked in on yelp and received a free glass of Vino-Red!

The bread at our table hit the spot, served with olive oil and other spreads it hit the spot. I got a veal chop stuffed with spinach, cheese, and other spices- it tasted magnificent. Also i tasted the seafood pasta my girlfriend got, it was mouth watering-ly tasty. I really enjoyed how they topped us off with a coffee and shot of Italian liquor.

The food tasted handcrafted from Italy- it was a very good Italian experience. From the menu to the waiter (his name was Selso). The service was what made our experience extraordinary- they truly enhanced the food with attentive waiting. It was classy and well thought out- to the recommendations to how much wine they dispensed- it was thoughtful, and thoughtfulness is something a customer appreciates.

    Will return.

  2. Such kind and thoughtful service…this is my 3rd time here. The first time, I randomly found it and loved the experience. The second time, I brought a co-worker to try it (we work nearby). And this time, I brought a group of 20. They sat us upstairs in a private room and took such great care of us. I love this place and will continue to return and recommend it. Great overall experience.

  3. Cozy little Italian in the shadow of Citibanks buildings. Expect a business crowd at lunch. Service is excellent and very attentive. The bruschetta and sautéed zucchini are such a nice alternative to the normal bread and butter when you first sit down. Drinks from the bar are well made. Me & my friend both really enjoyed our meals. The homemade limoncello was a nice surprise for the end of our meal too!

  4. This restaurant deserves 10 stars. They are absolutely amazing. After my husband and I tried to go to the over crowded and over rated blend on the water, we googled restaurants in the surrounding area and came upon this place. Upon entering the restaurant it looks small inside but we were please to find out there are two levels and it also has outdoor seating in the back which gave a nice relaxing ambiance. The food was great and ALL of the staff members were extremely attentive to us throughout the entire meal.  We tipped above the recommended 15 percent because the staff went above and beyond to make sure our meal was perfect. It's also a plus that they offer free valet parking. I would definitely come back and would recommend anyone who wants top notch service and fresh food to come to this place. My husbands chicken parmesan was cooked to perfection and my lobster bisque soup was excellent it actually had a real lobster in it!!!

  5. We were looking for a place to eat near the cocktail bar Dutch Kills, and as it turns out, there's not much in the area. We did, however, come across this elegant little spot near Court Square. We were able to make a reservation for two without any trouble on a Saturday night just 90 minutes prior, yet the dining room was filled throughout most of our meal, and quite lively– lots of large groups and several birthdays.

The ambience is at Il Falco is perhaps a bit more formal than most similarly-priced restaurants, with the white table cloths and waiters in tuxedos. However, most patrons were wearing more relaxed attire – lots of denim – which created a bit of a strange juxtaposition. I was one of the jeans-wearers, though, and I felt more at ease seeing that others were, too. While the inside dining room is formal, there's an outdoor patio (which obviously was not open in November) that looks more quaint.

We were immediately presented with some bruschetta, bread and delicious fried zucchini, gratis. Thanks to our Yelp check in, we also had a huge glass of free house red wine, and it was *so good* and lasted us the entire meal. I ordered one of the specials: mushroom ravioli in a champagne sauce with bits of black truffle. Everything about this dish was awesome, from the raviolis themselves to the unique cheesy sauce. The bf had another special, chicken breasts pounded thinly and rolled with cheese in the middle, which was delightful as well. Our entrees weren't huge, but the salad and our meals left us just too full for dessert. We did have after dinner coffees – mine an espresso, his a regular coffee – which were very nice. And as with other patrons, we were served some limoncello on the house. I haven't much enjoyed limoncello in the past due to its bitterness, but Il Falco's version was great.

Though our choice to come here was somewhat random, I'm really glad we ended up spending our Saturday evening here.

  6. A fancy feast that serves delicious pastas and other Italian staples. Elegant is a good word to describe the decor and table service. Went here for lunch during work. To give you an idea of the crowd, there were 20-somethings in casual clothes, some 30-somethings in business suits, and some seniors in their traditional garb. We were seated quickly. I ordered a simple pasta (basic tomatoes and pasta), and although it was simple, the pasta and sauce were cooked and seasoned perfectly (i.e., not burnt or overly hot or spicy). Overall, will be back for lunch and coffee since it was such good food and nice atmosphere.

  7. I finally got around to trying Il Falco! What a great intimate space with excellent service! We had made a reservation in advance and the restaurant was full. Once seated we were given complimentary bruschetta with tomato, zucchini and a bread basket. Our table was quite small, there was hardly room for all our dishes and menus!

Our server came over and went through the specials with us- there were a lot! I was very impressed that he remembered them all. We were also shown a plate of huge shrimp, one of their specials of the night, which was kind of cool.

My fellow diner and I decided to stick with the specials. The menu has a great variety of dishes and it was difficult to decide what to chose! We shared a beetroot and goats cheese salad to start. I then chose the special ravioli, with mushrooms, champagne sauce and black truffle!! It was delicious and a really good size portion. Sometimes when you order ravioli at restaurants you can end up with about 4 pieces of pasta, but I got loads. I was stuffed afterwards. My friend went for the seafood linguine. The presentation was great and the portion was pretty huge. He couldn't believe how many octopus he ate!

We then shared the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. It was nice, a bit too rich for me, but I ate it all anyway!!

We found the prices to be reasonable. For our meals plus 3 glasses of wine our cheque came to around $100 before gratuity, and we were full! The restaurant space is nice and relaxing. The decor is a bit dated, but I feel typical from what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others looking for something a bit more special. It is nice to know we have these quality restaurants just around the corner!

  8. This has to be the most authentic Italian dining experience I've had in the US outside of the Bronx's Arthur Avenue.

Friends recently moved to LIC, so we were visiting for the night and they booked us at Il Falco based on a co-worker's recommendation. We were a little late to our 8:30p reservation, but it took 1h 15min to be seated. Thankfully we were enjoying ourselves at the bar during our wait, but we're definitely joking that the food better be the best we ever had for the wait – and it was pretty close.

When we were finally seated, we were quickly greeted by our waiter and presented with complementary bruschetta, eggplant and of course bread. Amazing – all of it.

For our appetizers, we went with the burrata watermelon and pappardelle with sausage special – also out of this world! The Ruffino Chianti we ordered for the table was spot on and complemented our meal nicely.

For my main I went with the pesto gnocchi – the portion was HUGE and the quality was once again fabulous. Our meal ended in only the best way – which was with complementary limoncello.

Overall so pleased with our experience here.  The waitstaff was friendly, awesome food in a classic old school Italian ambiance. Highly recommend – but do be prepared for a wait! However, you'll find that you won't be rushed and are able to throughly enjoy an awesome meal with good friends and good food!
