  1. Overall. I can't think of anytime I left hungry or unhappy. Traditional Italian food, big portions, and great service.

Risotto is my suggestion, most times I've been they will make it however you like.

2016 update. What happened to this place? New management? New chef?  I don't know but the menu is smaller and the food is worse. I hope someone comes and revives the place.

  2. This was the first time I've been here and came with my bf and his parents.

We started off with some bread and each had a piece of bruchetta. They even made 2 special ones without onions for those who were allergic.

    Appetizers:
Baked clams were good, muscles with red sauce were good and the eggplant rollatini was SO GOOD.

    Entrees:
I got a rigatoni bolognese which i liked.
We also got the calamaria, salmon and chicken parm.
Everything was good for the most part.

The waiter was a little inattentive – he was there but seemed spaced out.. the busboys were very attentive with water and clearing the table.

Overall the place was quaint and cute. Food was good. Service was ok-good. Just a little on the pricier side.

  3. A good meal and a good deal.  Lunch @ $20…delicious salad with sweet vinaigrette and beets.  Salmon perfectly cooked with string beans and excellent potato croquette.  Will try dinner sometime, though it looks a bit pricey.

  4. Even after this place got severely damaged by Hurrican Sandy, the service, food, and overall experience hasn't changed a bit.  Thank your meatballs for that!

My personal weakness is the fresh ricotta and bread assortment they give you even before you order anything.  I can single-handedly engulf the whole thing without you even realizing it; absolutely better than dipping your bread in oil.

My other personal weakness is the veal with black olives and mushrooms in this lovely marsala-like sauce.  I can't seem to bear to order anything else but that!

Ask for the specials – you'll have a hard time deciding.

REAL Italian cooking for those of us with REAL Italian appetites!
