  1. Inattesso is the perfect restaurant for a quiet lunch in downtown Manhattan. The food is pretty good and the service is helpful. The environment is casual and provides a clean, lightly decorated place.

I recently had lunch with a couple of friends at Inatteso and pleasantly surprised by the attentiveness of the staff and moderate prices for the area. I ordered the 12" Bianca pie for myself which included mozzarella, Parmesan, tomato sauce, basil and olive oil. Pizza pies are made fresh with each order and perfectly seasoned. This pie is more than enough for one person.

The restaurant fills up during lunch time which naturally can cause longer wait times. Come here when you plan on taking a leisurely lunch break. Overall, a pleasant experience and would love to return here for more pizza and wine in the future.

  2. The pizza here is delicious. Have ordered from here many times and eaten in the restaurant. The grandma pie is delicious as is the margarita and mushroom truffle one.  You get that fresh homemade taste that you really don't get many places. Highly recommend!!!! Especially in an area that lacks great pizza.

  3. After a bit of a walk in the Battery Park area, Yelped myself to this spot. At first glance, this place looks too expensive to even walk into, but at a closer look the prices are reasonable.

Late evening is a perfect time for sitting outside. Between two people, ordered the Melanzana Al Forno ($13), Ortolana Pizza ($18), and a couple glasses of Montepulciano ($12 each) . Was bummed we didn't get any free bread to start (maybe they ended it?), since it would have gone great with the saucy eggplant dish. Two large slices of eggplant covered in warm ricotta/mozarella and marinara sauce. Pizza is intense looking with the cheese, peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, and arugula just stacked all over. Fairly easy to eat however, mostly because it seems to be served at slightly above room temperature.

Overall the meal is satisfying and really liked the atmosphere. Server is helpful and the food comes out quickly. Not sure if I'd make another trip even though it's probably your best option when in a late night pinch for the area.

  4. I've been here twice and enjoyed it both times. The staff is polite and doting and the place is never too loud or overwhelmingly crowded. It's a great date night place (dimly lit and romantic,) or, if you're like me, a solid place to gorge oneself solo.

The pizza is delicious. I highly recommend the Barese pizza. I haven't had the pasta but my friend ordered the bolognese and said it was great.

    I'll definitely be back!

  5. PIzza bianca was pretty good otherwise most items on the menu seemed overpriced. I had the beet and fennel salad and while it was good it was pretty small and not worth $13. Service was only ok as well, seemed a bit unattentive and a little too hands off.

  6. Was here Friday night around 9. The atmosphere was really romantic so I'd recommend this place to couples who want to go on a date night. There were candles everywhere and it felt very calming. I got the ravioli and it was good. Pasta was cooked well and the filling was just the right amount. I wish the ravioli had a little extra kick or something to it. It just wasn't super flavorful. Service was good and it wasn't too busy when I was there.

  7. Yes it is one of the better options for the battery park area.  For the entire manhattan, I am not sure.

The white bean spread they serve with the bread is very addicting.  We were all hungry so we kept asking for me.  They obeyed and delivered more.  I wish they heat up their bread.

Their pizza comes in personal and large size.  I was expecting Adirenne's style pizza since I heard they are owned by the same people.  But their pizza is the brick oven style.  Crust is very good.  Crunchy and holds up to the topping.

We started with one of the salads.  Fresh and great for appetizer.

We had the prochiutto with egg pizza.  I typically prefer my pizza with the red marinara sauce but I actually like this one which is only with white cheese.  Goes really well with the perfectly runny eggs.

The pasta bolognese was also pretty good though not the best I've had.

Service is prompt but not exactly friendly.  The outdoor seating area was unfortunately closed when we were there.  Too windy.  It would have been nice to eat outside.

  8. Would have given 4-5 stars if it wasn't for a few mis-hits. First of all, I love the decor and location. Very lovely. But what the f-bomb was with the music on 5/26 Monday??! It was all r&b slow sex music it was just ridiculous and we wanted to fall asleep. You guys should stick with some Classic Italian music I mean hello you are an Italian restaurant..gotta add to the vibe. Also it was just very awkward to listen to it in a family restaurant. Secondly our pizza got burned and it took forever to get our Parma pizza and we never got an apology or got asked if we wanted something while we waited or a free drink?? Customer service really lacked idk what the issue was. But the pizza came out amazing it was very good one of the best Parmas I have had. Great dinner rolls and aeoli!
