Love this place. I realize this place is a chain but it doesn't feel or like it, nor have I been to any other location. This place really excels at the Indo-Chinese food niche. Great selection with tons of vegetarian options. They have and sell 6 sauces to go with their food and it's a very nice setup for them at each table and it's quite fun to experiment. Service was excellent and quick. Be cognizant of their spice levels, things marked as spicy are truly spicy and I have a pretty tolerant pallete. Great use of chili peppers that really add that Indian food heat and complex flavor to traditional Chinese favorites. I've only been here twice but look forward to going back and trying even more from the menu. The ambiance and decor are also very well done and give it a classy flair- great for a date night or special occasion and it's BYOB.
Imagine licking a burning stove, that's how my tongue felt after trying the crispy chili baby corn and the kuchow chicken starters. Though I think it started out tasting good, seconds later my tongue was on fire to the point I couldn't taste anything. We had to beg the server for milk to soothe our burning tongues. I probably would not get these again for the hotness factor alone, but if you can tolerate *VERY* spicy food, you may enjoy these items.
Once I was able to taste again, I was surprised by the great flavor of the shrimp pepper salt. I usually hate seafood, but I really enjoyed the shrimp here. I enjoyed experimenting with the several different sauces on the table: chili garlic, momo, green chili, soya, and red chili.
Entrees: The chicken manchurian dry was also spicy, but not as spicy as the appetizers above. Although maybe my mouth was desensitized by then. If I was to return to this location, I would definitely be getting the vegetable thai yellow curry again. This was really delicious and creamy, with beautiful coloring. You could really taste the coconut milk. The burnt garlic fried rice and the hakka noodles were good and went well with the entrees. You can even buy the noodles to go, as well as their sauces and different fruit drinks.
And of course the perfect way to end any evening is dessert! Though I was skeptical about fried noodles as a desert, it was actually really fantastic paired with ice cream. I definitely recommend ending with this to allow your burning taste-buds some recovery.
Beside the food, our servers were very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this place if you enjoy Indian or spicy food. I have not been exposed to much Indian food before but I enjoyed the food here.
