Love the cookies from here! Everytime I walk into an insomnia cookie store, the smell of freshly baked cookies welcomes me! I've tried the chocolate chunk, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter cup, snicker doodle and sugar cookies. They're all good! Warm, moist cookies just the way I like them. The best part is this place closes late (3 am) and I can come here after dinner to satisfy my after dinner cravings for something sweet.
The negatives is this place is tiny. Really no place to sit. Doesn't really matter because I get it to go. I haven't tried any of their ice cream, cakes, or ice cream sandwich cookies but it's just a matter of when not if.
GREAT COOKIES. They've always been warm, gooey, rich chocolate, great quality, and their consistency has always been on point!
staff is chill – cool – kind.
What else can you ask of them, in a mostly takeout cookie joint. However, you can sit and eat but not much room to do so.
Grab some milk – water – other drinks
This area gets NUTS(bars,etc) … so choose wisely when to go haha.
Just the thing when you need a midnight, or post-midnight snack. Good dudes working here. Cookies are perfect, straight out the oven like a tiny, steaming pizza pie…with cookie dough…chocolate chips…and lots of sugar. Dangerous habit, tasty occasional indulgence.
You know when you tell yourself "Im not supposed to eat those cookies at 245am", but your taste buds seduce you and tell you just have 1 its ok. Fast FWD and you ate a box of 6 cookies, a brownie, with a bottle of milk? Thats insomnia cookies.
They are really good! The guys that work there are pretty cool and they will usually warm your cookies up with chocolate all melty inside.They have different flavors and are hard to resist. Brownies are good too and can be shared with a friend if you feel guilty and just need a quick fix. They are pricey for cookies, but lets be honest if they were cheaper we'd eat 12 cookies per visit instead of 1 or 2.
Perfectly adequate for my mid-day craving. They scored a great location in the middle of busy Macdougal Street. The space is small and cramped and definitely designed "to-go". There is also a fridge with various milks. They several different kinds of cookies and while their wall menu is a bit confusing, they have a basket of display cookies next to the register. I had a standard chocolate-chunk and an oatmeal raisin. It's a nice touch that they warm them up. The chocolate-chunk (it's the chocolate chips that are big and more on the "chunky" side, the actual cookie is thin) melts and gets very gooey. Not too sweet, with a touch of salt. The oatmeal raisin had a good distribution of raisin throughout. Two of these came to about $3.50.
Who doesn't love warm freshly baked cookies?
After hearing about Insomnia Cookies for quite some time now I decided to stop in while visiting the village and grab myself a box of 6. I got the chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia, oatmeal raisin, sugar cookie and M&M.
Of them my favorite were the white chocolate macadamia and the chocolate chip. The cookies weren't overly sweet which I liked. The staff is very helpful and and let me know that they are open till 3AM! That's pretty awesome if you ask me.
The location is very small and there really isn't anywhere to sit but I'm pretty sure that most people take them to go anyways.
I couldn't remember how these cookies tasted! I've been going to another cookie spot! I got the chunky chocolate chip cookies and it was delicious! I had min with a huge glass of milk when I got home!
