  1. So yummmmm.  I didn't know about Insomnia until a co-worker told me about it when I had started a new job, and I am so glad he did.  They have so many varieties of cookies and they do packages which is awesome.  Sometimes co-workers will bring in a couple of boxes of cookies for everyone to share.  The chocolate chunk and the snicker-doodle are my favorites.  They also do homemade chipwiches and bownies a la mode.  Both are amazing!!!!! And who can get a treat like this without something to wash it down with, so they also have milk and chocolate milk.  This place is amazing and I'm so glad I know about it now.  Can't believe I had been working downtown for several years and had never heard about it until a couple of years ago!  Must check out if you are near a location.  Only complaint is that the place gets pretty cramped because it's so small and the line gets kind of long, but with a product this good it's to be expected.

  2. Soft baked cookies for the win. I have always been a fan of Insomnia's name, business, and cookies! With milk, ice cream and fresh baked cookies, this place cannot go wrong. I ordered the Smores deluxe cookie and the white chocolate macadamia nut and both were delicious as expected. Warm and gooey from the chocolates. Soft and chewy to the bite. Also the deluxe cookies are worth the additional price. They are significantly larger than the regular ones!

  3. Really good cookies. The cookies I wanted weren't available but that's ok as they had peanut butter and macadamia nut cookies. They were both so good and soft.  They were not way too sweet and just perfect.  This location is really tiny!

  4. Do you have a cookie craving at work around 2 PM? Insomnia will be there for you, usually. I tried ordering once and after no delivery for an hour called their customer service who kindly let me know their delivery guy called out but she satisfied me with free cookies coupon so that worked out. Anyway, I don't really like ordering food on the phone at work at 2 pm in my cubicle with others listening in so I am glad they have an online ordering system so I can do this on the down low without being judged after having lunch. I won't say these are the BEST cookies but these are good cookies that will satisfy your craving.  I will probably stay away from the peanut butter cookies, its just not as chewy and crisp like all their other cookies that are fantastic. Majority of the time their deliveries arrived in thirty minutes or less!

  5. These Cookies are Da Bomb!!

I've seen their locations around town and there's one near my home in Chelsea, but had never ventured into one, until a hungover day after St. Patrick's Day and cookies for some reason seemed like a good idea as a hangover cure, lol.  It, however, didn't work, but nonetheless, these cookies are sooooo tasty!!

They serve them warm, so I bought a 6-Pack of them (which is good deal) and brought them back to the office to share.  I put the box down, told my co-workers, went to wash my hands and when I got back, all the cookies were gone except for the sugar cookie, haha.  I was bummed I didn't even get to try the chocolate chip or the white chocolate macademia nut, but sometimes what seems initially like a disappointment, becomes a godsend.

And that, is the Sugar Cookie – wow, it was Amazeballs!!  I NEVER would actually pick the sugar cookie on it's own, but holy crap, it was warm, soft and so buttery and sugary.  I thought to myself it had to be the best cookie there.

So, for good measure, I immediately went back and got the chocolate chip and macademia nut cookies to try on my own, and while they were very good as well, they didn't stand a chance against the sugar cookie.  I highly, highly recommend it.  And btw, it's sister cookie, the snickerdoodle, was surprisingly good as well.

Just remember that there is ALWAYS a line here.  I came at an odd time, around 3:30pm or so, and there was still a line.  But also remember that because of this line, they have a high turnover, so the cookies are always fresh and warm right out of the oven.  They can't be beat, no way!

  6. When you've got your sweet tooth going on then it's time to hit Insomnia cookies. There always fresh soft hot out of the oven cookies. My favorites are the original chocolate chip and the snicker doodle. Also their red velvet ice cream cookie sandwich is to drool over. Also you must try the macadamia nut cookie. It's soooo gooood. I love Insomnia cookies

  7. INSOMNIA COOKIES ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD!  However, this particular location sucks for many reasons.

Much of the staff has been consistently unprofessional and rude.  I wish I was kidding about this but…..one time a colleague and I tried to buy some cookies….only to be refused by an employee standing outside the store.  He said a fight broke out inside and they were closed for the afternoon.  Then he did the unthinkable and took a bite out of a cookie right in my face.

I forgave Insomnia and came back to this location another afternoon, but you know what they did?  Left a cookie out of my bag!  Check your bags and boxes before you leave.

  8. These cookies are like crack! And cost just as much! Although these cookies are some of the best cookies out there, they will set you back a bit at $1.60 for a regular cookie and $3.20 for a deluxe cookie. It's a small price to pay considering the time of the night you can actually order them at … which is up until 3am!

If you're feeling adventurous or need to feed a football team, then they also have the cookie bulk deals and 'Residence Hall' specials which come in 50-100-200-300 cookies per order. The store also sells milk, ice cream, cake and brownies too, but shouldn't be purchased at their inflated prices unless you're extremely desperate for some lactose in you.

As for the cookies, the selection is limited, but a majority of them are excellent. The last time I swung by, I ordered a 6 pack of the following from my favorite to least favorite: White Chocolate Macadamia, Chocolate Chunk, Double Chocolate Chunk, M&M, Oatmeal Raisin and Snickerdoodle. The White Chocolate Macadamia was by far the best – what's better than combining chocolate with macadamia? The Snickerdoodle was very disappointing because it tasted like a cookie just full of sugar, ironically.

If you want your Insomnia Cookies fill in downtown Manhattan, unfortunately this is your only option. The store is very small and it can be quite cramped if there a few people waiting. If you're not for waiting in lines, they also have a website you can order from.
