Inspiration Roll just opened up in downtown Summit (today, as a matter of fact). Being the foodies and Summit residents we are, my wife and I decided to try it out for dinner tonight. A sushi burrito/fusion/ramen spot is a cool entry to downtown.
No delivery, as of yet – understandable. Gotta get yourself situated and started up.
My wife and I split the Bao Pork Rolls, which were surprisingly good and tasty. Nice spice, good texture, and the rolls were extremely soft. +1 here.
I got the make your own sushi burrito. I'd been intrigued by this since I heard about Inspiration Roll opening, so I had to try it. It was…..OKAY. Definitely a bit of an odd concept – putting a sushi roll into one big, gigantic hand roll. It was monstrous. I could barely finish a half! The taste wasn't bad – texture wasn't my FAVORITE, as it was a bit on the mushier/softer side. The flavoring was decent – I got mine with Sriracha ketchup, cucumbers, pickled red onions, spicy yellowfin tuna, and sesame seeds. Multigrain rice.
In my honest opinion, the Ramen offerings look much more appealing. My wife got the ramen dish, and I tried some of hers — very tasty. I'd go that route next time around, as opposed to the sushi burrito.
Don't need to go back here. Not sure if I will, and not because it was horrible! Just not my type of shtick. Might be yours though!
