International House of Pancakes

“This is still our favorite IHOP after all these years going there and having tried many others along the way.”

“Great food though gets incredibly crowded over the weekends, so much so that there is nowhere to park on Saturday and Sunday mornings!”

“Amidst a smorgasbord of syrups, my waitress did a really, really spectacular job, though she could've done more to try to push a sale (if I ever again find myself saying this, slap me thru the web).”

  1. Standard Ihop nothing to write home about. Obviously the thing to get here is pancakes, but other items I enjoy on the menu include the waffles, the ham and cheese omelet and the stuffed french toast. Sometimes, the pancake specialties can get a little too sweet with all the sugar in the pancake and on the toppings so I like the multi grain pancake style. Unlimited good coffee which is always a plus.

  2. I've never stepped inside an IHOP in my entire life. until today. It's not like I was avoiding the place; I just never had the opportunity or desire to go. But there was a coupon for free beverages at the Williston location that had come in the mail, along with the judgment I faced from my brother, I decided it was high time I try this place out.

I looked at the menu online prior to going bc I wanted to make sure I chose something that even if it were completely botched, the dish would still look mildly appetizing. Obviously, I had very low expectations for IHOP.

But all of that preparation and pondering was totally unnecessary because what the came out from the kitchen and onto our table was glorious. The Bananas Foster Brioche French Toast = warm, perfectly sweet, soft, and it looked good (presentable). I also got a plate of hash browns, scrambled eggs, and sausages. My brother ordered the chicken and waffles; the chicken tenders were so crispy, I was blown away. The waffle pieces were crunchy and soft.

Halfway into the meal, I had to ask myself, what had I been doing all my life? Why had I not gone to an IHOP earlier? I've been missing out; I could have eaten at IHOP so many times by now.

The service was great, too. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. The carpeted floors and low ceiling added to the feeling that that I was eating at home.

If I weren't so full, I would have loved to try the deep fried cheesecake. Next time.

  3. Needed to have a little Ihop love/comfort food after a long day of visiting a loved one.

G had the chicken spinach crepes. Those things are huge and he said they were very tasty. They come with hollandaise sauce but G is not much of a sauce guy so he did not apply the sauce.

I had the special, sort of build your own breakfast, 2 eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and French toast. Everything was cooked to order and the bacon was crispy just as I ordered it. Because I only ordered the standard French toast they gave me 4 pieces (2 pieces cut in half) which was way too much for me. G ended up eating most of the French toast and loved it.

The waiter was awesome and we left feeling a little more refreshed than when we came in to the restaurant. The restaurant was not full at all so seating and service was quick.

  4. I waited less then 10 minutes on a Saturday. Cool. Hostess, wait staff, and crew are sweet.  Very nice. Food was amazing. I have not been to an IHOP in years. I will be here again it was amazing.

  5. It's IHOP… Good pancakes and omelettes.  I like the Williston Park location.  They have a wonderful team who are helpful, efficient, and just very pleasant.

Sunday's are usually an 'over-the-top-crazy-busy-day…' so if you can, try to come there during the week.

This location is extremely clean and bright….

Over all…  you can't help but like the IHOP experience.

  6. 3.5 stars. I came here in 2013 and went again recently. This is one of a good option for brunch in my new neighborhood. This place is very popular on weekends, so you may have to wait for a while to be seated.

I ordered a steak omelet. I didn't expect anything good, but it was actually very good. I ordered salsa sauce and pancake on the side. Salsa sauce went very well with omelet. I bought salsa sauce from Target recently, but IHOP's salsa sauce was better.

The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was good, too. If I am not too hungry to wait for seat, I will go back there.

  7. This is still our favorite IHOP after all these years going there and having tried many others along the way. This to us is the standard that ALL IHOP's should strive to attain! The place is immaculate and the staff friendly and professional. The pancakes are fluffy and the eggs good quality with a nice yellow yolk. The syrups are not watered down…a big plus! I had the 3x3x3; 3 pancakes, 3 eggs over easy and 4 sausages…was delicious! Wife had an omelet with her choices of fillings and pancakes…also nicely prepared and tasty. Important…the coffee is excellent and we drink 2 pitchers on a good outing.
After seeing all the negative experiences at other IHOPS and even Denny's, I recommend trying this establishment….I think you'll be pleased you did.

  8. The past few times we have been here, the service has gone so down hill.

This past weekend was pretty much the nail in the coffin.  Horrible dining experience, our waitress didn't listen at all and was non existent the majority of our meal.

Very disappointing, time to find a new IHOP to go to sadly.
