  1. Very pleased to see Irving Farm Coffee Roasters in Fulton Street Station.  I patronized the one in Grand Central Station and liked it a lot.  The coffee is outstanding and is so hot that I  recommended a napkin unless you want to exfoliate your hands.  Small but inviting shop. People were friendly and not obnoxious as is often the case at coffee joints.  I got a ham and cheese croissant which was more ham than cheese but the flakiness of the croissant was perfection.  It wasn't served hot which is a mild disappointment that I can overlook.  I picked up some sea salt caramels for later that looked yummy.  There is a loyalty card which I appreciate.   So in short check it out even if you weren't planning on taking the subway anywhere.

  2. I came here on their inaugural "Free Coffee" day. It is located in the nice, and relatively new, Fulton Transit Center in lower Manhattan, not too far from the new WTC.

First, the coffee. I am a dark roast fan. The coffee here is a solid medium roast. It is a nice medium roast, but I'm a "burnt offerings" French roast kinda guy. I didn't try espresso or anything, so YMMV.

Second, the snacks. I liked the raspberry pop tart and the bran/flax/blueberry muffin that I had. NYC prices, so if you're a tourist, just know that pretty much anything is more than $4 a piece. Still, these items tasted good, so I am happy with it all. The Pop Tart is not the one from the grocery store, I want to assure you. It is the way PT would be if it was a home baked item. Flaky crust, generous filling and frosting that is not armor plated. All good.

Third, the service. Very helpful, friendly, and all that I would hope for. It's a new store, so they are occasionally finding their bearings, but not to an irritating point. In any case, I was served promptly and courteously, so everything to be happy about.

Fourth, the location is awesome. You have a nice view of the middle of the Fulton and it is very quiet and restful even though there are a lot of people. Some sort of really great sound management in addition to making it look good.

Fifth, the internet / wifi is amazingly fast. And, it's free.

Overall, when you are in this are, have a few minutes to drink coffee and eat cool snacks, come here!

  3. Great location in the new Fulton center! A good spot to meet up and – convenient coffee shop for subway commuters. Coffee is better than Starbucks coffee but still too pricy (my really small sized cappuccino costs about 4.75!) to be fair, La Columbe's cappuccino is twice the size and priced at 5 with a much better quality. Overall, I think the convenience premium is over priced.

One highlight, they offer various SCAA classes in their 19th st location. Worth taking a look if you are a big coffee lover and want to take it to next next level!

  4. Plenty of little seating for the early morning commuter (me!) Located in Fulton Station (inside!) and perfect for meeting a friend.

I just had to try it – they have real coffee I overheard someone say one morning as I was walking up the stairs~~~~

Yes, It's NYC so coffee is all around – but this place is special. so Skip DD or S* and come here!

They have some yummy looking pastries – so I will be back and post more photos!

Easy and fast service. The team offered me a splash whole milk and I was like – YES!

I think I paid $3.25 for a coffee and I'm okay with that.

  5. FINALLY! A coffee shop in the Fulton station! Those with early commutes who have to inevitably stop at Fulton can definitely feel me on this one.
Unfortunately, this location falls flat…(top). Get it?
    Get it?
    Moving on now….
I have been here about 4 times despite not being quite pleased the first time. It IS the best quality coffee in this area. There's a SBUX down the block but I only resort to SBUX given no other choice. So due to my fear of burnt, gross coffee I have frequented this Irving Farm cafe most mornings this past week.
But there's something quite uncomfortable about this cafe. The set up is strange and the person at the register isn't too keen on quick service, which should be of utmost importance in a train station. But what irks me most are the prices. It's too expensive. And this is coming from a person who KNOWS specialty coffee. Knowing that they aren't serving a rare geisha, I don't think they should be charging $5.50 for an iced latte. Now, this is most likely the consequences of having a prime location in a train station but seriously…. there's something unfair about paying more than $5 for a small iced latte. I just can't do it. It also doesn't help that on a morning visit with my beau, his regular drip was burnt tasting. For coffee the caliber of Irving Farm, you should be able to drink it BLACK- no milk, no sugar. We were forced to put some simple syrup, which I was glad to see they have.
Although their location is awesome (which will probably bring me here again despite any hesitations), their prices are too high so I will try to steer clear.
The barista has done a consistently good job. And the bar backs are friendly… or flirty, I can't tell the difference sometimes.
It's unfortunate that real estate at the Fulton station is probably so expensive that businesses will either a) go out of business or b) take Irving Farm's route and overcharge. Most will likely take the b-route. Eh.

  6. Great service! I walked in and was greeted. I believe they are fairly new (like a week). I was overwhelmed with the tasty treats (shown in my photos)! I was soooo excited that I ate the pastry I got right away (not a photo). Sorry. It was an apple pasty and boy was that baby tasty!
