Americans make a big deal about "authenticity" in their food as if it were a badge of honor. And I have to chuckle… Most of you don't really want authentic food — it sounds better than it eats. Most people would be horrified by authentic food from countries like Mexico or China. Getting off my soapbox.
OK, you want authentic Mexican? This is it. This is the closest I've come to Mexican food outside of Mexico. They know their audience, so you won't find, say, beef cheeks here. But this food is a mirror image of my typical lunches in Mexico City.
And, oh by the way, it is MAGNIFICENT. The tacos are all soft and double wrapped with small flour tortillas.
Taco Enchilada: A Quite spicy. The interplay between the enchilada sauce and and lime/cilantro makes a vibrant taco. A fantastic taco.
Beef: A- Beef was typical of Mexican tacos. A *tad* tough, but cut small so that's not a problem. Vibrant with charbroil steak flavor.
