Jenny Farms is your independent neighborhood grocer for fresh produce, spices, drinks, and other basic foods. It is not a large grocery store, just tiny and convenient for your spur of the moment dinner plans and last minute needs.
Jenny Farms is located directly next door to another grocery. It doesn't seem like a competition. I actually shop at both and make choices depending which has better produce and price. The prices are very good. Think of buying your vegetables for a dollar or so!
The real reason why I am giving Jenny Farms five stars is because they braved Hurricane Sandy. They never closed once. It was quite amazing. While every other store/bar/restaurant on the same street put on their shutters, Jenny Farms had their fruit out on the sidewalk. I kept staring out the window to check on them. Yep, still standing. The neighborhood depends on Jenny Farms and it's nice to know they are open for business rain, sleet, snow, or shine.
I heard a rumor that they never close no matter what and are open 24/7. I believe it. I've seen it.
