  1. I just finished my first falafel. It was quite good, not amazingggg, but the freshness of the veggies on top made it tasty. Although I have never tasted a falafel sandwich before, I can probably say that I can find a better falafel somewhere else. But hey…one time try not so bad. More accurately, I would give them 2 1/2 stars, but the service was fast and friendly. Plus the lamb dish the cook was making looked damn good. Will possibly try that in the future.

  2. This place makes awesome falafel sandwiches.  I recommend getting them on a whole wheat pita w/ Israeli salad, chummus, and tahini.  Otherwise, I'd say its a 3 1/2 star place, but I'm in a generous mood and love their falafel.  It's buffet style, kosher, and vegetarian, but they do have some fish choices.  It's strictly kosher.  Anyone can go there, of course, but don't be surprised to see a lot of Orthodox Jews.  I sometimes eat in, but usually just get the falafal sandwich(es) to go.  They are even great for lunch, at room-temperature, the next day.

  3. Excellent falafel. It's made fresh while you wait and served piping hot with a tahini dip.

  4. This little joint makes fantastic Middle Eastern food. I've tried a lot of their menu options and have never been disappointed. I usually order from them on Seamless, they have a $10 delivery minimum which isn't too bad and they're usually pretty quick. The main guy is super nice and always jokes around with customers. It's a casual space with a few tables, but I'd say most people probably order for delivery or get it as takeout. Great little place!

  5. Came for late dinner tonight with a friend who had been trying to take me for weeks and weeks. I am glad we finally went. Very tasty food, and I am a huge stuffed grape leaves addict. I asked for extras and they melt in my mouth. If you're going to come with lots of people, get it to go, there is only enough sitting space in the place for about eight people- a table for four and two small tables for two. A definite hold in the wall. I'll for sure be back!

  6. Great falafel here.  By far better than Amir's but much further down Broadway.  The schwarma isn't bad either.

  7. falafel and hummus sandwich
    shwarma sandwich
    israel salad

    made to order
    falafel and meat made fresh.
    generous portions.
    not overspiced or greasy.

  8. Delicious late-night shawarma "sandwich" (which means pita pocket thingy). This thing was packed with all kinds of goodness – veggies, hummus and of course, lamb shawarma (which there wasn't a whole lot of, but that's ok because there were so many other things in it). The lamb was cut up very small and seemed a bit on the tougher side, but I didn't mind. The hummus was exceptionally flavorful and smooth. Yum!
