I've read a lot of these reviews and I have no idea how there are any good ones.
1) I got delivery, a burrito, chips, and salsa. The delivery was supposed to take 30-40 minutes, it took an hour. The guy didn't even go to the right apartment building and had to call me to get the right address–which means he had a phone and could have called to say the delivery would be late.
2) When I opened the burrito (which was weirdly wrapped in fast food wrapper paper) it was not even wrapped, but folded in half like a giant soft taco. I was not pleased, but since I was in a hurry (since delivery took forever) I was in no position to call and complain.
3) the food wasn't even good. The salsa ranchero was mediocre, the guacamole shouldn't even be called guac, it was terrible, so glad I got it on the side. The steak in my burrito was good, too bad there wasn't much of it. The majority of the burrito was cheap store bought tortilla, cheese, beans, and bland rice. The chips were store bought as well.
I lived in the Southwest for years, I know TexMex–the good to the mediocre–and this was just plain bad. I wouldn't even call it TexMex, just bad.
I will never order from here again, and if someone asks me for a recommendation, I would wholeheartedly tell them not to patronize this place. I'm glad I had a discount coupon for seamless or I would have been really upset about this $15 meal…
Look, hear me out. Sometimes you want generic Tex-Mex and Taco Bell starts sounding like an actual food option. This is the time when you're happy that Jesus Taco is down the street. The nachos are great and their steak burrito seriously hits the spot.
AND I didn't have to suffer the indignity of going to Taco Bell.
Good Lord! Jesus lives! They had a second location on Amsterdam and 125th Street and come to find out the original on 145th has reopened literally around the corner from the old location!
It's a hole in the wall TexMex spot. Small place, can seat about 12 ppl max. Quick, Cheap and satisfied my hunger without the guilt of "cheap eating"
I had a shrimp taco and a fish taco – both with lettuce, tomato and cheese. Tastes fine.
Convenient location, I'll def return. It's there to do exactly what it does and I get it. No hoopla and nothing fancy; just the basics.
Shrimp tacos are the bomb shiz. lotsa options. all items are extremely cheap and delicious. they make the food fresh and on the spot so call ahead of time
