definitely they are Greek, and the soundtrack is Greek folk music. Interior of restaurant is pleasant and decorated with nice photos of the Greek isles. Gyro sandwhich was beef-lamb combo with an abundant amount of meat served with a large lettuce based Greek salad. I would prefer a pure lamb gyro cut off the rotiesserie.. Greek coffee was good. Service was good, my water was refilled several times and waitress was courteous. Sign says they have a live Greek musician on 3rd Friday evening of each month
I went with the basics….gyro with greek salad. It was pretty good and portions were reasonable but could definitely be larger. Certain parts were definitely unevenly proportioned with more lettuce than gyro. Did it blow me away? No, but it was still good enough to make me want to come back if I'm in the area. I picked up my food to go, so I can't speak for the service. The two older gentlemen at the counter were very pleasant and seem to always know who is a regular or not.
I took 2 falafel sandwiches to go.
I cannot comment on the table service.
Cute strip mall restaurant, a dozen tables are so byob.
Menu has a large variety of Greek specialties.
Their falafel sandwich is good heavy on the garlic, I chose to have it with tzicki sauce as opposed to tahini.
I would have liked more sauce on it, onions, lettuce and tomatoes are on top. They makebthe falafel sandwich like a gyro as opposed to a stuffed pita. Everything is rolled up. I asked for hot sauce however when I get home there wasn't any on the sandwich. 2 sandwiches ran $15, higher than what I pay in brooklyn. I Normally get 2 for $10.
I enjoyed the sandwich and will likely try then again.
Very good, casual Greek place. The food was delicious, service was friendly, but a bit lagging at times. If we were in the area i. would come back, but not worth the 30 minute drive from our area.
Pita was really good as were our gyros and meatball app.
Finally made it over to Jimmy's for lunch. Was wanting to try this place since they opened. It's not a great location, and two other restaurants in that little shopping center came in and went under just last year alone. But I'm happy to report that Jimmy's is a keeper! And if everyone who likes it can drum up some traffic for them, they have a real shot at making it.
I was surprised to walk in and find that Jimmy's is a real sit-down restaurant, complete with waitress service. For some reason I imagined more of an order-at-the-counter joint. Since it was my first time there, I had to try to the basic Greek standards – a lamb/beef gyro and a side of Greek fries. (See photo.) Both were very good, though the gyro could have been a little meatier. That said, the meat was fresher and tastier than most of the standard issue gyros you can get elsewhere, which is odd because I thought all gyro meat came from the same Kronos factory. The fries could have been crispier, especially so they can hold up all the dressings that make them Greek-style fries. Add a Diet Pepsi (god I hate Pepsi) and with tip, lunch came out to about $15 — a little pricey, but still worth it, considering there aren't any other Greek restaurants nearby, and everything tasted really good. In general, as long as a place serves food that's fresh and good, I'm generally going to be a fan.
I'm looking forward to coming back for dinner with the entire family. They appear to have live music on some weekends, and a great sounding Greek stuffed burger that I'd love to try.
All in all, I'm very excited to have Jimmy's in town and hope others give them a try too.
Ordered takeout on Friday night and this place was incredible. I ordered the chicken kebab entree and it came with rice and potatoes which at first I thought was overkill but it was a pleasant surprise! Their potatoes had the perfect seasoning and consistency. They offer traditional desserts like baclava but I tried their carrot cake. I would definitely return!
