  1. Love this place! Food is great and so cheap! Margaritas are delicious and they give you free chips and salsa while you order. The only problem is the wait. They don't take reservations so you'll end up waiting 30 mins to 1 hour for a table.

  2. Every damn time I come here I leave happy and full! The chips are always hot and salty and served with good salsa along side Crystals hot sauce. Put that along side a nice cold Lone Star and I'm happy already. I started off with a cup of gumbo and was so mad after the first spoon! Why didn't I order a bowl… Thick, spicy and loaded with meat. Perfect bowl to warm me up on a cold day like today.
For the main I ordered the Catfish New Orleans. The piece of catfish was HUGE, and was coated with cornmeal and cooked to crunchy perfection. They smothered the catfish in a creamy basil cream with baby shrimps. Along side the fish is jambalaya, which tasted awesome! Spicy, loaded with meat and not mushy!
Service is quick, and prices are cheap. I always forget about this place but should be here once a week!

  3. Great for drinks and celebrating in large groups when you don't notice the extremely slow service. The food is mediocre at best. I've had sizzling fajitas come out cold!

  4. I have been here a couple of times with friends and it's pretty solid for a Tex-mex option. I have had their chicken fajitas which come with a side of rice. Pretty good. I love their margarita options which is probably the best thing about this place. They make strong tasty drinks which I love. Keep in mind the wait to get a table here is usually 30mins to an 1hr. Overall if your looking to grab a drink with friends this is definitely an option. However I suggest to not go here expecting to get authentic Mexican food because you will not.

  5. Plenty of parking, I came for lunch  and was given a table by the window…my boy Michael put me on this place because he's a fat eff and I trust my fellow fat effs when they say the place has awake food!…I went with the el pueblo which is chicken and shrimp fajitas with all the fixings…side of a small cup of rice and black beans…soooo…first impressions once it came…hella food for one person…I mean mid way into the meal I was full, but I'm a champ so I killed it all like a monster should lol….super tastes, got a little messy since I had to make the fajita myself with all the ingredients laid out infront me…still giving five stars because it was delicious but I'd probably pass next time, I'm more of a order eat without assembling my meal and it got super messy with the sour cream and guacamoli getting all in my hands…would be nice to have had a tissue dispenser instead of one white linen napkin—(TO ANYONE IN CORPORATE READING) ….prices are decent…they have a bar section or square table seatings…your choice! All in all place is awesome

  6. This was an interesting place…for tex-mex!  They had cajun style food and Tex-Mex.  being from TX I know my Tex-Mex.  What I ordered was Tex- Mex and I enjoyed every bite of it minus a few things.  Firstly, the salsa.  It's not to my liking.  The waiter was kind enough to give me jalapenos and a sauce that he said could be spicy for me but it was not.  Salsa is okay, could be spicier and could taste a little fresher.  For my meal I got a combo of chicken taco and cheese enchilada.  I will start off with the taco that I did not like.  The chicken was bland and just plain.  The cheese enchilada, rice, and black bean comb- was so delicious!  That will make me come back.  I will get just the cheese enchilada dish and that's it and be happy.  I can't give this place a 3 star just because I did not like a few items, because the items I did like were 5 star material.  I will be coming back here again!

  7. There is no disputing that Tejas is incredibly delicious. ALLLL of the food is always uniquely flavored and awesome. It tastes fresh, well made and flavorful. It's also reasonably priced and well worth it for how tasty it all is. I always get a cup of their awesome gumbo and it's only $2.50.

Their fajitas are their signature dish but Willie Loman attention should be paid to their other entrees. Believe dat! The crawfish etoufee is great and their chimmichuri flank steak – forgetttttaboutit. This is the best thing on the menu. The salsa Verdi really makes it. I'm also a fan of the blackened chicken and even their salads.

    tl;dr

Apps – order the Camptown shrimp
    Entree – any fajitas
    Drank – sangria or beer
Dessert – they don't serve dessert! Eat and get the Hell out! They have an hour+ wait at any given time. Try not to eat the delicious leftovers in the car.

  8. Thumbs up.

Came here two times with co-workers since it's right down the street from our job. One time we just sat at the bar ordered drinks and food. Hard to find seats at the bar during the after work hours but we got lucky. This place really does get packed after a certain time. Bartenders are nice and quick with fulfilling orders. The frozen margaritas are my favorite ! Any flavor and it's so good. The frozen drinks take longer to drink so I feel like I get more out of them than the on the rocks drinks. The complimentary chips and dip go so fast because it's so good. The salsa is not too spicy where you have to keep drinking water after every sip. It's very mild.

Other time I came was with a total of 6. Thought we would have to wait a while for a table but we were sat right away. I think it was free kids night because there were kids all throughout the place. We were sat towards the back of the restaurant at a nice table. It was a horrible seating area because waiters kept bumping into my chair and hitting my arm. It was very annoying especially while eating. Five of us ordered chicken quesadillas and one ordered tacos. They all came out very fast and it was delicious. The pulled chicken mixed with the abundance amount of cheese oh my so good. It's huge too. Could only eat half ! I was so stuffed. Also tried the frozen sangria this time and it was OK. Frozen margaritas are better i think because they are sweet with the flavor they put in it.

This is the go to spot for my job to have after work happy hour. I have no problem with it. This place is more Texan than Mexican. Texan decorations, music with Mexican food. Eh not my type of music.
