Juice Generation is my go to breakfast in a crunch place for smoothies and juice. Everything is super fresh. Can be busy. So expect a wait. The staff is great and friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection of dairy free milks. And lots of great add ons for your juice.
Clean and brightly colored juice bar that makes it very welcoming to come in. Wide selection of smoothies and juices, both fresh and ready to grab and go from a fridge. I ordered the Detox and the Professional, both were good, but there was too much ginger for me. So much it kind of hurt my throat drinking it and made it somewhat "spicy." Ideally for me I'd like that to be masked by a fruit taste. Some seating if you wanted to hangout, a bit on the expensive side. For two twelve ounce juices it cost $16. I haven't been to many juice bars, but that seemed expensive to me.
I wish we had this in Chicago. Completely empty with no line and no wait. Fresh ingredients and so many options. I could easily eat from this place for every meal every day and lose weight in the process. Can I open a chain/franchise????? LBS
A smoothie is basically $8-9 here which costs equal or more to the amount I would spend on eating out for lunch…which is crazy to me. But I was craving healthy + cold after I worked out one day so I came in for a green smoothie and ended up getting the Green Guardian!
Having never tried Juice Generation, I wasn't surprised by there being a relatively long wait during the morning hours on a weekday. The workers are SUPER efficient in making smoothies, it's really impressive to see.
However, I wasn't really impressed with my smoothie. I love both bitter tastes + sweet tastes and usually expect that to come through combined in a green smoothie with veggies as well as fruits, but this didn't really have a distinct taste in it. It also had a weird gritty texture that confused me… I probably won't come back for a smoothie here anytime soon since it's way too expensive for what you get 😐 However it is kind of appealing that they have acai bowls in NYC 🙂 🙂 (but they're still like $10! ahh)
Juicing has become so correspondent with fitness and health nowadays. I come here from time to time for a natural detox to settle all my food guilt. They offer a good selection of cold-press juices and smoothies made with fresh vegetables and fruits. I typically go for the healthier and greener options such as the 'Supa Dupa Green'. It's palatable and easy to digest. If you're looking for a light snack, they also serve acai bowls and pastries. All in all, one of the better juice bars in the city with decent prices.
If it wasn't for the wait time, I'd be back more often since it's literally right across the street. I love their green (and other colored) juices and I feel super full after. I hadn't eaten much all day, and after a presentation and a trip back and forth to Jersey City, my tummy was beaten down and sad. I convinced my boss to try Juice Generation (I've been on two occasions at this location before).
I got the Mucho Mango which I normally wouldn't get unless it was a meal supplement, as it is over 400 calories and that's .. above my desired caloric intake for a single meal.
The pricing is very good but the wait time just sucks. We were number 490 and they were still calling 470 after I sat us down at the booth seating area. It's been this way every time I come here, and I do see the staff working efficiently, it's just maybe staff more during rush hours? On second thought, I was there at 3pm yesterday.. definitely shouldn't be a peak hour but I guess either everyone was feeling like juicing or was getting lunch late, orrrrrrrrrr they seriously take forever. I still love Jamba Juice but hasn't that name gotten too old and too cliche for the city? Everyone's always on the lookout for the newest, healthiest, and cool options out there, and this is likely on that list. Next time, I'll drop by when I look inside and see less people than usual.
I also have to add, for us gluten intolerant peeps, they sell gluten free pastries here!
I loved this place! It was clean, fast, and friendly.
Smoothies, juice blends, acai bowls and other healthy goodies.
I had the green guardian which I read some people found gritty. I thought it was blended pretty smooth, especially considering it had both chia and flax seeds in it. It also had kale, strawberries, avocado (the main thing I tasted was the avocado) & your choice of milks (I chose hemp as they sadly didn't have cashew milk).
Its sorta pricy ($7-8 average) but I loved my smoothie. Calories are posted on the menu. Had they stayed open late on Saturday night I would've picked one up around 10.
I'm a fan!
I tried their kale colada, it came in a coconut shell. The smoothie includes spinach, kale, banana and young coconut. If you liked green juice with the grass-like taste, you would love this beverage. I also tried Energy Kick and Protein Buzz before. They're all very good.
