  1. It was ok. They have a limited combo of juices, heavy on greens. I had a carrot, beer, ginger, turmeric and something I don't recall. Tasted like carrot juice with a little turmeric.  And the prices are high compared to the 9 gazillion independent juice bars in my hood. 3 stars because the place is clean, service is friendly and the bathroom's really nice.  For product alone, 2 stars.

  2. Juice Generation is is my opinion one of the best juice options in Manhattan.  Whether it is fresh cold pressed juice or a smoothie they nail it every time.  What distinguishes them from so many other places is that they are not using powders of questionable origin.  Real fruit and veggies cut up in front of you.  Sometimes the line is long but is moves quickly so long as there are no nitwits being indecisive in front of you.  The employees here are super friendly and knowledgeable about their products.  The space is well lit and inviting.  Compare this to some of the other so-called juice places and it is not even close.  They also have healthy non-juice options as well.  If you are really into ti the have their juice cookbook for sale for home juicing.  If you are really into it they have a one day juice cleanse which encompasses 6 bottles for $54.  Drink every two hours and consume no food.  I tried it and surprisingly wasn't hungry.  My only wish is that you could adjust the six pack which is set.  The last one of the day is really chalky and gross to me.  Prices are steep but you get what you pay for.  So give it a try I think you will really be glad you stopped in.

  3. Friendly staff, clean location, best strawberry almond milk smoothies. Everything tastes so good to be natural, healthy and organic.

  4. Fairly large space for a juice store. They have acai bowls (which I haven't tried yet), cold pressed juices in the refrigerators, and fresh made juices that they will make on the spot for you. I went in the evening and there was quite a few people waiting for their juices. There is a small seating area.
Juices will set you back almost $10, but its good for you! If you have a hangover, come here. If you need to fit into your wedding dress, come here. Bikini season? Come here.

  5. I'm a big fan of Juice Generation and is probably the best (healthy) smoothie & juice option in the city, in my opinion.  I used to frequent the 63rd & Lexington location (at Equinox gym) every few days when I worked in Midtown East.

This is a stand-alone location, and a really beautiful one at that.  Much more room and much nicer and prettier than any of the other locations in the city.

I like to come here for a smoothie as a Lunch Meal Replacement if I'm not that hungry, or don't know what I want, or wanna lose weight lol.  To me, the best smoothies/shakes they offer are the:

    – Joyful Almond: almond butter, banana, coconut milk, cacao nibs…I like to use Almond milk as the base, and add their vegan-based protein (hemp, rice, pea), cause it tastes better than whey.  Very filling and an excellent meal replacement.

    – Coco Acai: acai berries, coconut oil, coconut milk, banana…and like to use Hemp milk as the base, and add their vegan-based protein (hemp, rice, pea).  Not as filling, and more of a dessert smoothie in my opinion.

Their Green Juices and Fruit Smoothies are good as well, but really more of an in-between meal snack, or dessert, for me.

And I like their Acai Bowls with Hemp Granola for breakfast every now and then for a healthy option instead of an omelette, lol.

They also offer Juice Cleansers (like BluePrint, for example) at a lower cost and more convenient as well, and frankly more fresh as they make them there.

I've tried their Vegan salads and quinoa plates, as well as their Vegan muffins and cookies, and they're pretty good, but nothing to write home about.

I think all their offerings are pretty good, but I'd stick with the Smoothies (Protein & Fruit ones) and Green Juices, as that's where they excel!

Price is around $9 for a protein based smoothie, but like I said, it's healthy, tastes great and keeps you full for a long time.

Love Juice Generation and highly recommend!

  6. Though the almond butter bliss acai bowl was delicious and Juice Generation basically has everything that satisfies my healthy cravings, I can't imagine myself coming back regularly. I've had prettier, more flavorful, and bigger acai bowls in New York for less than $11. If you're looking for a reaaally light lunch, then this almond butter bliss acai bowl might satisfy you, but otherwise I'd say $11 can be spent better elsewhere. Also I ordered the almond butter bliss because it sounded like the heavier of the options, yet two hours later, I am already hungry again. Maybe for those of you who are on a diet, this is enough food, but for someone like me who finds eating hearty food to be the highlight of my day, this was definitely more of a (very expensive) snack.

  7. I loooove Juice Generation! I could not have been happier when I found out that they were opening a location right in FiDi where I live. Dream come true. The workers at this location are all so friendly. My go-to orders are the following two acai bowls (mainly cause they're amazing and I never felt that anything else could amount to the same feelings of satisfaction I get when I get these bowls):

PB Acai – acai, banana, omega-3 peanut butter, strawberries, cacao nibs, almond milk, hemp granola

Almond Butter Bliss – açai, almond butter, banana, almond milk, strawberries, coconut shavings, hemp granola

I have tried the Amazing Green acai bowl as well which incorporates a bunch of greens into it. That one is just okay to me but probably better if you're looking to pick a bowl with a lower sugar content.

Only downside of JG is that the price of their acai bowls are so steep. Any of the acai bowls you order will run you around $11-12. I also wish they had a loyalty card because I'm sure I would have run through a ton of those cards by now.
