  1. The juice is fantastic! I got the "Hot pink" which is orange, lemon, cherry, ginger (cayenne on request). It was delicious. I got it without cayenne. They have a huge variety of juices and smoothies and even some hot drinks. The produced used is very fresh and the juice is great. I highly recommend this place!

  2. Pretty darn good. Had a great Hawaii Five smoothie and the staff were super nice. Very kindly split the juice for us without even a blink of concern.  Smoothie was delicious – very thick, super flavorful and perfectly smooth.

I'd LOVE to give them 5 stars. I gotta say: this place is crazy expensive.  Was really interested in some of the fancier concoctions but I'm not able to justify shelling out $14 for 18 ounces of a beverage.  Even the lower end straight up smoothie I got was nearly $10. That's a sizable sum, even if the ingredients are particularly interesting and clearly somewhat costly.

That said, we will certainly return. There are so many inspirational awesome varieties of juice and smoothies that they made it hard to decide.  They also run good specials every day of the week, so we'll come in and check them out again on a day when one of those appeals.

All in all, a GREAT addition to the neighborhood.  Good luck, Juiceland!

  3. Omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg OMG. OH. MY. GOD. The Moonshadow, or Moondog, or Moon-CIA-we-didn't-really-land-there-cover-up was really great. The menu is overwhelming and I'd recommend cutting it down to size or organizing it in a better way, but once you figure it out you're in for a treat. Just don't tell the government.

  4. If you were a hipster, Austin-based juice bar looking to expand into the New York market, you'd probably eye Brooklyn, wouldn't you?  And if you were eyeing a location in Brooklyn, one located down the block from one gym and across the street from another would make a lot of sense, wouldn't it?  Never thought I'd compliment Texans, but… kudos to the management team at Juiceland for finding a perfect location.

And I'm quite happy they did find it.  Juiceland is hard to resist when I leave the gym, as they allow me to enjoy a rare virtuous cycle by following up the gym visit with a healthy juice or smoothie.  I'm incredibly impressed with the vast array of ingredients and the creativity of their menu.  Sure, they have straightforward options such as the Home Run (apple juice, banana, strawberry), but if you ever fancied a smoothie incorporating mango, spinach, pecan, vanilla, almond milk, OJ and coconut oil (and haven't we all), then Juiceland (and their Julio Verde smoothie) is for you.  You can get a juice or smoothie with ingredients as diverse as watermelon, turmeric, jalapeno, spirulina, kelp, dragon fruit, and at least 5 types of proteins I had never heard of before (pea, brown rice…).  Just not together.  At least, not unless you ask.

I long ago moved past the price I'm paying for non-solid food when I order myself a juice or smoothie anywhere.  So coming from that perspective, I think their prices are reasonable.  The prices feel like they take into account the drink sizes and the exotic-ness of the ingredients.  In addition, they have a daily featured beverage that is about $1.50 off in a particular size, as well as a generous e-rewards program that can now be applied almost anytime, as opposed to waiting for that elusive 10th drink.

My personal favorites thus far are the awesomly-named Ninja Bachelor Party juice (pineapple, celery, kale, parsley, spinach, jalapeño, himalayan sea salt) and the Originator smoothie (fresh apple juice, banana, blueberry, cherry, peanut butter, brown rice protein, flax oil, spirulina).  It's a cute, quirky place which mostly just does this one thing incredibly well, though they do also serve some packaged snacks (bars, baked chickpeas) and a few refrigerated salads to go.  I'll even overlook their cheap Darryl Strawberry drug joke mixed into their baseball card thought bubble decor.

  5. If you can afford to drink this juice occasionally and you like the taste of fruit, herbs, and green things blended up into a thick deliciousness, then totally go for it. I really like the Tikal one, which has both pineapple and mint. It's super refreshing. They have a pretty decent selection of expensive all-natural energy bars and cookies and a few salads (like a quinoa salad) in the fridge if either of those are your thang. They used to have a really delectable chocolate coconut raw pudding in the fridge, but last time I looked for it (over the winter) it wasn't around. If they have it GO FOR IT.

  6. I am loving JUICELAND! I have been coming here most mornings and afternoons. They have a wide selection on the menu, a lot to offer, and a super cool local bulletin board with neighborhood activities for adults.

    Staff is friendly and hospitable.

What's really great is the sizes that they offer. Most places do not have the variety.

Love their bulletin board with local happenings!

    Cons:
*It's abnormally hot in here. ALL THE TIME
*not a place to go if you are pressed on time
*Price is a little steep. I know it's organic, but they can purchase in bulk and make prices a tiny bit more affordable
