3 1/2 stars is what I'd like to give, but I'll bump it up because they have Bosco Soda and Stewarts Root Beer, and the sugar water associated with the name Papaya. I haven't seen Bosco in like 15 years. Definitely worth a half star for the old school beverages.
The food is better than fast food but not quite restaurant take out, and it's priced as such ($7.50 incl. tax for a 1/2 lb bacon cheeseburger).
Service is friendly and the menu is pretty good, especially the fries, although I would never recommend chili fries for take out for obvious soggination (the act of becoming soggy) reasons.
On par with 5 Guys but a little bit cheaper and quicker, so I'll throw them the edge in the battle for Washington's best "not quite fast food not quite restaurant" burger.
This place is right about average in terms of quality, quantity and value. Yes, you get unlimited toppings on your burgers (good deal), but the burgers are already expensive and the price of unlimited toppings is factored in (bad deal). The burger taste was neither here nor there.. not bad but nothing to write home about. Worth a stop if nothing else is open, but unfortunately mcdonald's is 24 hours and several spots on Washington St are open till 3am anyway. I'd give it a 2.5.. but bumped up to 3 because the burgers are slightly better than 3 guys across the street.
