Boy, is this place aptly named. I wanted to buy some things for dinner, but they weren't ready for anything but breakfast service-so I went for a pepper and egg sandwich. It took me right back to my childhood. They carefully sliced up a yellow pepper, slow cooked it, then whisked in some carefully broken eggs. By the time I got it home the Italian loaf had softened and the flavor was terrific. A Proustian moment for me.
It's located under the shadow of Route 280, and I'm not sure if I'd walk around the area at night, but I plan to go back soon for some of their specialty sandwiches and products. (Note that while their website gives Saturday hours, they're closed all weekend). I'd call your order ahead, as it's like having your grandmother cook for you in her tiny kitchen.
