Just Salad

“made my salad exactly as I ordered it and gave me a reusable bowl as well (discounts on toppings with this are great!)”

“Trisina (The Topper), Znai (the Chopper), and Elena (The Cashier), despite their WFF titles, were courteous, patient, efficient, and knowledgable.”

“Elena is very friendly and always makes it a point to ask me about my day and even remembers my daughters name.”

  1. I love this place! It's like chipotle but for salads and no e.coli. The ingredients are always very fresh and they offer many options. Super vegetarian friendly! I also love that they have the calorie count for everything. You can even build your salad before or after you go and see the exact count for your meal (hint: do it before you go so when you find out Kalamata Olives are about 40 calories an olive, you're salad isn't ruining your day)

  2. Points off for taking care of the 3 or 4 Grub hub orders, or whatever it was, while I stood there, the only person in the place waiting for a simple wrap, but it's good food at a good price, that's somewhat good for you.
The next 5 people that came in line were out the door in half the time it took me, so, it's like that, hit or miss with service.  The food was very good and filling.

  3. Everytime I come here it's the same thing. The workers give attitude or aren't friendly, and they take FOREVER! You can no longer call your order on for pickup so you are forced to stand on the line or get delivery. I don't think I will be back the salad is okay and I can get a better one cheaper elsewhere

  4. This seems to be the only close by salad bar place by Methodist so I came here during my lunch break. It reminds me of a chop't or sweet green. No frills salad joint. The workers are pleasant and it has sufficient seating. Fully loaded custom salad cost me about $12-13.

  5. I realize that salads have lettuce, but do they really need to have THAT MUCH lettuce, Just Salads? There was hardly anything else in my salad.  I felt like a cow grazing in a field of kale.

The place is clean and the staff seems nice, but I wouldn't say that this is worth $9-15.  Your wallet is better off if you get a bag of lettuce from Trader Joe's, add some dressing and eat that with a plastic fork at your desk.

  6. How have I not reviewed Just Salad until now?! Just Salad was a most enthusiastically welcomed addition to 7th Ave when it arrived in the last two years. The quality is pretty consistent across the board. I was SUPER Into the immunity salad which disappeared from the menu sometime early last year. *sad face* Now I get the falafel salad or the mediterranean mix. The last two visits it seems like not enough people are working. I did not have to wait that long but I feel bad for the woman working because she was running back and forth between the assembly area (before your salad ingredients are brought to the chopper station) and the register. During rush hour they definitely have enough people working. If you live within reasonable walking distance I would just walk there and pick up. The one time I did delivery it took a long time and I felt the sad was not as good as when you get it. For $1 I got one of the reusable bowls and I get 2 free basic additions with my salad. Not much room to eat in. If you are over at the hospital I would def check it out-it is one of the healthier/fresher options in this price range.

  7. Is the salad good? Yes. Is it the best  that I have ever had? No. Is it worth the price? No. So why do I return?  Well I return because I am still looking for a place that makes a good salad close to me. I return because they have a wide section…. If it wasn't for that I would pass.

I also like that they allow you to taste the dressings before you decide… Very helpful.

  8. The salads and service are great.  Easy place for me to go when I'm craving something healthy.  But if I ate a salad every day here I'd be poor.  I like the Hudson Valley and the Buffalo Chicken Kale.
