Very annoyed I got here the day after the grand opening but a solid Just Salad. Wish I'd had my bowl with me but they do have a nice setup & clean restrooms. The plugins below where I was sitting did not work & I sorely needed to charge my phone (also a little annoyed about getting that e-mail to find the grand opening was the day before) but the staff was friendly enough. Pricey but if you can afford it, the food IS healthy but tasty as well.
Not quite sure why this place has low-ish reviews. Maybe they had some growing pains and have worked those kinks out because this place was great. Had the Thai-something salad and it was quite good. They give you a lot of salad which fills you up, but because it's mostly veggies you don't feel gross and your filled up feeling goes away after like 15 minutes. There are other salad places around the city and so competition is probably fierce, but kudos to Just Salad I would definitely come back.
I know Just Salad gets a lot of hate but I love it. Well in particular I love one salad here. So much so that I eat it 3x a week for at least the last 2 years with no desire to change it up – Thai Chicken Crunch is the second love of my life…maybe 3rd, whatever. Since I have a JS bowl, I always add cheese to it and I happily skip out of the store excited to chow down. And this sooooo convenient to get to, so if I don't have a lot of time to head out or just don't want to venture far, I end up here.
Ok the line can be long and crowded but I can't find decent priced lunch spot around here that isn't. So quit yer whinin' people. If you want an empty place to order your lunch good luck, or make it at home, it's NYC.
Perhaps they fixed the skimping on the size of the salad issue because it hasn't happened to me. Maybe again it's because I got my special snowflake bowl?
I stopped in here on my way back from 14th Street because STARVING and trying to eat better. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and I pretty much inhaled it. You guys, I admit, salad is salad, but this was so damn good.
I don't know if it was the chicken or the spicy avocado dressing but this satisfied my hunger without complaint.
