This is my go-to pizza spot down in FiDi. First, a confession: the first two times I came here were after midnight and I wasn't completely sober. Now I work in FiDi and come here for lunch, and…it's still good! I would HIGHLY recommend the buffalo chicken pizza – it's a huge slice that's a full meal and doesn't leave you hungry, or feeling like you're pregnant with a demon pizza baby for the rest of the day.
The place is usually packed at lunch.
S'okay, but that's it.
Tiny little store front to buy pizza by the slice. A few tiny tables if you want to eat it here, and no customer restroom. Credit cards accepted.
Really big selection during lunch. We got a few slices, some ranging up to $4.50. "Grandma's" is a very sweet sauce. Mushroom white doesn't taste like there is any sauce. Pepperoni mushroom is really cheesy. Chicken bacon ranch has really dry chicken.
Customer service = no hello, thank you, or goodbye, but sounds like that is pretty standard for this joint. People order, take their food, and leave.
If in the area, a decent place to fill your belly, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Not exactly iconic NY pizza that you remember for the rest of your life.
I almost hate that this place is right in front of my place of employment and near my home… I come here a lot more than I should!
So far I've tried the margarita pizza slice, the chicken parm, the pepperoni, pepperoni with sausage, pepperoni with bacon (can you tell that I like pepperoni?), a veggie pizza slice, a grandma slice, and a couple Jamaican patties. All really good– except for the chicken parm.
I guess since I really liked the other pizzas, I assumed that I would really love this one, but I set my hopes way too high. By the time I walked back to my apartment (8 mins max), it was already really soggy, and lacked flavor. I couldn't eat it.
The patty is surprisingly good for a pizza place. I always get confused when they ask me if I would like it with cheese… Because where on earth would that go??? But I just politely decline.
I will mostly be back within the next week. Even though I am trying to get back on track with working out and dieting… Pizza is my kryptonite.
This place has the L&B spumoni gardens pizza… or something similar to it. I still think nothing can replicate the L&B spumoni garden square slice but if you wanted something close, this is the place to go (without having to trek all the way into bk).
The L&B slice is a bit on the heavy side because there is so much dough but its like the buttery crispy doughy chewy carbs that you don't mind splurging in every once in a while.
I would have to say, if youre getting a straight triangle slice, you could probably find better elsewhere nearby… but this place has a fond place in my heart for the L&B pizza!
Open late and the perfect stop after too many pints at the White Horse or Dead Rabbit. Huge slices and the pepperoni was choice.
We were waiting for the Governor's Island Ferry and grabbed a few slices. The plain and tomato slices were nice. If you are in this part of the city, stop on by for a nice slice of NY style pizza. The staff is very friendly.
Just another A-OK pizza joint in FiDi. It's by the slice so that makes it easy, and it really isn't awful but it isn't great either.
If I had to choose I'd say I go here more frequently than every other 3 star pizza places in the area. They aren't friendly but they aren't nasty either, they are just middle of the road all around. The space is small and gets jammed easily when about 3 people order.
The pizza is ok, I found the buffalo chicken slice kinda gross, it just had weird flavors all around. I did like the chicken parm, chicken tomato, cheesesteak and regular pepperoni slices, they were all solid. I tried the chicken chipotle and it was meh, probably wouldn't get that again. I will say the specialty slices do have a ton of meat and toppings so they don't slack for $4.50 a slice. They take cards which is a plus.
Overall just another average pizza place.
Eat In: The pizza slices are thin, the crust is not oily, and it is not soggy. Pretty good!
Pick Up: But, the pizza that we picked up was soggy. Although it was still thin, it was a bit disappointing since the pizza I ate there was nice and firm. The flavor was still good, though. I like their tomato sauce here.
