Kabab King
“A smoky, succulent Bihari kebab enveloped in freshly baked naan with copious yogurty sauce.”
“The naan comes fresh out of the oven, the haleem is fresh and the kebabs will keep you coming back for more!”
“This place looks utterly repulsive, BUT if you can get past that…and you really must, the good is amazing and cheap.”

The chicken karahai was STALE! And not chicken karahi, just regular ( and terrible)!chicken curry.
Two stars for the behari kabob and chicken tikka. Everything else was terrible, including the service. How do you have 10 servers around, and seven tables, yet we had to flag people down to place an order. We were a party of 7, yet you gave us 3 plates, were we meant to share? When asked, it took you 10 minute to get three more plates. Our food came and we asked for one more plate which we got tired of waiting for and got up ourselves and got a plate. The biryani was old and microwaved. The meat in it smelled, we couldn't eat it. I USED to love this place years ago. Since then it has fell off and onto the floor. I've given this place so many chances, and its a constant let down. I will never be back. And you should stay away as well.
Disappointed. I was looking forward to having some good Indian/Pakistani food, but it just didn't happen. There are several things that I found problematic. First, the service was a bit slow, even though the dining area was about a quarter full. We had to flag down our waiter a few times to get his attention about placing our order.
The main thing that disappointed me was the food. I am a huge fan of butter chicken, and I will travel miles to have amazing butter chicken. Since this was an Indian/Pakistani restaurant, I was expecting it to be great when I ordered it, but sadly, it failed to deliver. When he brought it out, I was trying to identify if it was even what I ordered. It didn't look like butter chicken, it wasn't orange, and there was barely any liquid visible. It was a few pieces of chicken and what seemed like solidified liquid paste that accompanied it. I tasted it and it was ok, but I was just disappointed. I was hoping for so much more.
My friends ordered goat biryani and the tandoori platter. Both entrees were ok, not spectacular or anything special. The paratha my friend ordered was dry. The chai was ok.
Overall, as someone who frequently has Indian/Pakistani food, I wasn't impressed. I've definitely had better.
DO NOT GO IN!!!! The service is absolutely horrendous. Places like this should be investigated and shut down. We waiting for an hour for our food and a soda and after an hour i tried to flag down our waiter who raised his voice at me telling me "are are". This place is the absolute worst, they don't deserve anyone's patronage. The person who waited on us was so rude, i lost my appetite. Also, check the food and your bill, they overcharged us. We were a party of 6, any other restaurant would probably be happy to get a large party (more money) but not this one. They acted like we were the worst people to go in there. Maybe they're racist since we were speaking in spanish to each other and not all of us look desi. Large parties that came in after us got their food quickly and they were treated nicer than we were. Never again!
Ok. I read some of the reviews on here and it all seemed negative. Unlike theirs, mine is a positive experience. NYers have a variety of choice when it comes to Bengali food. However, us viwitord don't in our cities. Whenever I'm in NYC I make it a point to hop into e train to get over to jackson heights so I can eat some food here. I think their chicken roast and their bihari beef kebab is delicious and they are open twenty four hours. Also, their food is extremely cheap. I love the food and the atmosphere albeit it being dirty and messy which reminds me of "chai dokans" in Bangladesh.
I will NEVER go here again. I haven't been here in along time but I figured I would write a review based on my past experiences because they were bad and memorable. The food was VERY bad and not fresh. They disrespect their customers. They fight with their customers. I had been there several times and seen them agruing with customers. And they are very rude. The service sucks and is very unpleasant. And the food you are lucky if it is fresh. Plus last time I went there it was dark, dirty and dingy.
THIS PLACE IS LIKE THE WORST!!!
came here for an early dinner and was not impressed at all…
might be one of the worst Indian restaurants iv ever been to…And I really enjoy Indian food and was really disappointing ….The Kastoori kebab appetizer and Chicken Tikka Masala was lacking in flavor… the lamb chops were over cooked and burnt…the fish was under cooked…was raw and cold in the middle but burnt outside…what the hell???The naan was better…but ohhh… you didn't mess up on bread…whatever… i still had to wait half an hour for three extra naan breads ..so stupid…
Oh I get it…you think we were being mean because we kept on saying that iv been waiting or food for over hour…people that came here after us were already served and was almost done eating…that was a little regardless…
My curry was NOT amazing….And the service was extremely slow!!!
The food is just so bland…over cooked and under cooked …very disappointing…i am never coming back here again!!!
There are many better places to eat in this area… I suggest avoiding this one.!!!
Bruh. Bruh. Their chicken samosas with imlee (tamarind?) chutney is hands down the best finger food you will ever have had the pleasure of eating. Well seasoned chicken wrapped in a super thin filo dough and deep fried to perfection, these samosas (not the thick flakey pastries!) will leave you wanting more. Trust me on this.
The menu is clear and to the point. The cheese kabobs are great and their naans are even better. I love briyani, I think their briyani is great. Try it! The food is relatively cheap and definitely worth sitting down for. If your girl or guy enjoys a little adventure, this spot is for you. If you want to bring your whole family here, they have a second floor for family seating. THEY ALSO HAVE a paan guy in the corner next to the entrance. If you don't know what Paan is, just Google it bruh. Paan is a dollar a piece, very rarely I will order and eat their meetha paan (sweet paan) try that only. Unless you like saada paan or tobacco in your paan (only for the veterans and addicts). This is a go-to dive for late night travels.
An old fan favorite of mine, I usually stop by around 2am. The inside reminds me of restaurants in Karachi: the smell (smells like south asian food), the uncles politicking and discussing MQM or whatever, the seating, and the utensils. This place literally looks like it was transplanted from Pakistan. I love it. The cooks behind the counter are no-nonsense folks who prefer speaking in urdu. And I have no problem exchanging in my terrible urdu.
3.5 stars.
I came here to have the chicken biryani!!! Unsure of the location, I went around a few blocks and ended up stopping in this establishment. I definitely saw a lot of traffic. It was busy which in itself is a good thing. I had to wait a few to place my order of the chicken biryani. But hey I go with the concept that if its busy and there is a wait the food must be good. While I was waiting, I decided to also order the naan. So finally after 5-10mins I ordered. Since my order was for take out, the staff asked me if I wanted it hot. I said yes. Wow it was a wait of another 10mins. The chicken biryani was definitely the plate to order. The tray was 3/4 empty compared to the others. While waiting I noticed that a lot of people would just come in for the tea. Pay their $1 and get a cup for the hot tea. Self service. Not bad. The place wasnt the neatest but I would definitely come again and order. The chicken biryani was good. The rice was definitely fresh and the flavor was great. It was spicy but just the right amount of heat. The chicken was fall of the bone. However you have to be careful with the bones. Eat slowly. The naan was good. It paired well with the biryani. Next time I shall order the vegetable samosas.
