  1. Ok beef pat see ewe here.  I thought the beef was a bit too chewy and the noodles were just average.  There's so many Thai spots in the HK area, this wouldn't be my top spot.

  2. A pretty average Thai place.

I ordered pad-see-ew and the Thai ice tea on Seamless from this place. They are a bit stingy with the actual food ingredients. I was not very impressed.

However, another time I got a spicy seafood dishes with glass noodles – that was amazing! Hit or miss, depending on the dishes you get.

  3. I saw their menu in my mailbox and decided to try them for lunch one day.

I ordered the Bangkok Spice (Prick Khing) with tofu and it was really tasty.  I had to add the chili sauce (I always ask for it on the side) and some sriracha to make it more spicy for me.  In hindsight, I probably should've asked for it to spicy.

The thing I like about this restaurant is that it doesn't cheap you when you order takeout.  Most restaurants will give you those flimsy boxes and cheap plastic containers, while Kare gave me a durable plastic lunchbox container, which contained the food and the rice inside.  There was a divider, but it was really simple to eat and I didn't have to use another place to organize my food.  The simple things you remember.

  4. I ordered the massaman curry lunch special and I thought it was delicious! It had great flavor, but it was very oily. The spring rolls were very tasty!

If you want solid thai food that hits the spot and offers reliable delivery this place is my new 'go-to.'

  5. After being tired from not being able to take the stroller inside all the tiny Thai restaurants in Hells kitchen, We bumped into this place. They were empty and had space to accommodate the stroller. The staff was very courteous and nice. We order basil fried rice and drumken noodles. Both entrees were good. The quantity of thai iced was generous and it tasted great! Overall good experience!!

  6. Stopped in for a late lunch after an event at Pier 92.  Nice enough small space.  I liked the décor.  A long mirror along one wall makes the space look a lot bigger than it is. (I will post a photo)    Server was friendly and efficient.  My guess is that they do a lot of take-out.

Prices seem reasonable.  I had the lunch special for $8.00.  Chicken and shrimp dumplings (good) and the rice stir fry with cashews and chicken (good).  I would order either dish again.  Nice enough but not special.  A Thai beer was $4.00.

This store is way out of my neighborhood so chances are I will not be back.  But if it was near my office; it would be an acceptable selection.

  7. This is for Delivery and it's more of a 3.5 stars

I am a regular to Kare Thai, my hubby and I order once a week from here. We tried many places around the Hells Kitchen area, if we rate by value-for money, Kare Thai is actually a much better place than lots of other places in the area.

There are a few things I probably won't order, for example Veggie dumpling. However, their noddles dishes, salad, and soups (especially spicy mint soup) are all very good.
